Cute Winter Party Desserts

Cute Winter Party Desserts

I am still loving marshmallow pops for parties and these cute winter party desserts and marshmallow pops are perfect for this time of year! I’ve seen a lot of the melted snowman cookies but if you are short on time marshmallows are a yummy, easy alternative to cookies. You melt some chocolate melts dip marshmallows, add a few decorations and viola you are ready for a party! I made the snowmen and penguins for the marshmallow pops. I’ve done the penguins before as cake pops. These penguins are adorable! You can do black and white to make them more penguiny ;). I had extra blue candy melts so I am continuing with my blue penguins(I made blue penguin donuts that were super adorable). I also made easy white reindeer cupcakes. I know reindeer aren’t white but they look really cute and modern this way. It goes with the snowy look. read more

Ugly Sweater Koozies

Ugly Sweater Koozies, dress up your dirinks at a holiday party with ugly sweater koozies!

I’m definitely a fan of the ugly sweater craze and these ugly sweater koozies are perfect for an ugly sweater party. A lot of them I don’t even think are ugly just very festive and fun. About 5 years ago I could not find ugly sweaters anywhere for a party and had to make my own. I can’t sew at all so I think I glued some Christmas patches on a plain red sweater, gluing I can do. Now ugly sweaters are everywhere and a ton of people are having ugly sweater parties! I love that because adults need to dress silly and have fun more often. I made these little ugly sweater koozies with felt. Okay they are more just decorative sweaters but if you add some pants or felt around the bottom of the bottle they are koozies. Sometimes beer gets cold and needs a little sweater. You can also use the same template to make an ugly sweater garland using felt or Christmas color card stock paper! read more

Tissue Paper Dream Catcher

Tissue Paper Dream Catcher and snowflake tissue paper dream catcher

I have been wanting to make a dream catcher for a long time! As a kid there was a time when I was obsessed with dream catchers. I had a dream catcher necklace I loved to wear. Now I’m an adult and haven’t grown up too much because I still love dream catchers. I am loving all the dream catchers I have seen lately at parties and with decor. I also have been trying to make my place a bit more snowy and decorate with snowflakes. I decided to make a tissue paper dream catcher in a snowflake pattern. Sort of an I’m dreaming of a white Christmas dream catcher! I was going to make a yarn one but I have a ton of tissue paper that I wanted to try out making it out of that. I love how it turned out and now I want to make a few in different sizes to hang up together. You can also make other snowflakes to hang around. To make this easy tissue paper dream catcher you just need a few materials. read more

Penguin Donuts

penguin-donuts-how-to-make-these-adorable-diy-donuts

Continuing with my winter donuts I have these cute penguin donuts! They are the cutest little penguin donuts ever, okay I haven’t ever seen penguin donuts so they don’t have competition but they are adorable. I made them blue for fun but you can make them black and white. They are so fun to bring to a winter party or for breakfast Christmas morning. Keira loves to watch the Penguins of Madagascar. We watched that while making these penguin donuts, it was the perfect winter activity. We also read a book about penguins before bedtime almost every night. Did you know that baby penguins eat 4 times as much as adult penguins. They need the extra fat to protect them from the cold and to look adorable :). I know you wanted to know that. If you ever want random penguin facts just ask me because I have read that penguin book about 100 times. That one, a shark book and octopus book I have memorized. Now lets make some penguins! read more

DIY Snow Confetti with Printable Labels

DIY Snow Confetti with Printable Labels. How to make easy snow confetti and free printable labels!

Since it never snows here in Phoenix I decided to make my own snow! It was actually hailing yesterday and that rarely happens. I was confused by these balls of ice falling from the sky. DIY Snow Confetti is easy to make and fun for any winter celebration. Also fun for pretend snow play. I used my snowflake puncher to make tissue paper snowflakes and little white craft balls for snow balls. You could use white tissue paper in any shape. I put them in push pops which would be really fun for parties! You can use the printable labels on small cellophane bags. The labels could also look cute taped on to disposable cups. read more
