Sports Party Printables

Sports Party Printables. Get ready for the big game with some fun printables!

Continuing withi this weeks sports theme I have some fun printables for a sports party! These could work for any sports theme party. We have ref snack bags, I used mine for popcorn. You can also use them for a ref banner! Then the time out sign printable.

What you need:

white card stock paper

tape

scissors

Cut out the jersey along the edge and leave the strip in between the two jerseys. Fold both sides towards the middle along the bottom of the jersey. Put popcorn or paper bag filled with snacks in the middle. You can tape the bag on to the shirts before filling it with snacks to make sure it stays in place. You can also just cut out the shirts and tape them to each side. The jerseys are cute for a garland as well. Just cut them out, punch two holes in each and string some ribbon through. read more

List for Santa Printable

Happy Friday! Who is ready for Christmas? It is really almost time for Christmas. This “Santa” is getting a little nervous because I have a ton to get done before Christmas. I have presents to get and wrap before the big day. I have a few little things ready but I can already tell I will be up the night before Christmas wrapping away. I am just always a procrastinator! Even when I plan not to it happens. In my defense we have been busy. Last week we went up to the mountains in Arizona to play in the snow. We wanted snow and we definitely got a ton of snow. There was a big snow storm. For someone from Phoenix that is really really exciting and my daughter loved the snow. The night that we got back home I was so ready to be in my own bed and get a good nights rest.Well that didn’t happen. In the middle of the night my daughter got sick and has been sick the last few days :(. That is the worst feeling as a parent when you have a sick kid and there is nothing you can do to make it better. read more

Ugly Sweater Koozies

Ugly Sweater Koozies, dress up your dirinks at a holiday party with ugly sweater koozies!

I’m definitely a fan of the ugly sweater craze and these ugly sweater koozies are perfect for an ugly sweater party. A lot of them I don’t even think are ugly just very festive and fun. About 5 years ago I could not find ugly sweaters anywhere for a party and had to make my own. I can’t sew at all so I think I glued some Christmas patches on a plain red sweater, gluing I can do. Now ugly sweaters are everywhere and a ton of people are having ugly sweater parties! I love that because adults need to dress silly and have fun more often. I made these little ugly sweater koozies with felt. Okay they are more just decorative sweaters but if you add some pants or felt around the bottom of the bottle they are koozies. Sometimes beer gets cold and needs a little sweater. You can also use the same template to make an ugly sweater garland using felt or Christmas color card stock paper! read more

Ice Princess Snowflake Wands

Ice Princess Snowflake Wands are a pretty DIY for winter or Frozen parties or winter play!

This is the perfect time of year to make snowflake wands! It might be Frozen land in my house year round for my daughter but you can’t always find snowflakes. I know everyone in colder climates have to have inside activities too so these are fun for pretend play and embracing the cold! I’ve made a bunch of snowflake wands to sell for Frozen parties so last year I stocked up on snowflakes when they had them at the craft stores during the winter. If you ever need a ton of snowflake wands for a party just let me know ;). These ice princess snowflake wands are really simple to make. read more

Pinterest Fails, What You Are Doing Wrong

Pinterest Fails what you are doing wrong

Pinterest fails! We’ve all been there, right? If not then in the words of Chris Farley ” well la de fricken da” aren’t you special(maybe I’m a bit jealous). My worst Pinterest fail was when I tried to make cake pops. I saw a cute picture of cake pops and thought that doesn’t look too hard, right?! Wrong, I ended up with clumpy balls of cake that were falling apart and a huge mess. I had to go with plan B and buy some cookies from the store :(. I may or may not have ended up shame eating all of the messy cake pops. They did taste good at least! I like to look at the pictures of pinterest fails because they are hilarious! If you can’t laugh at yourself and others what is the point of life?! Sometimes we fail so hard that we just give up on that type of project. Luckily after my first fail at cake pops I tried again and now I am cake pop obsessed! Pinterest fails happen to the best of us but here are a few ideas of what you are doing wrong so you can kick that projects butt the next time! If at first you don’t succeed try try again. These are all about baking because that is the area I have seen the most fails in and have my own experience in failures! Unfortunately I haven’t taken pictures of all of my fails. Some would be good for a laugh! read more

Apple Marshmallow Pops

Apple Marshmallow Pops

This week my daughter Keira starts Pre-Kindergarten. It is crazy how next year she will already be in kindergarten! Time really does fly by. We decided to celebrate with some apple marshmallow pops! Instead of actually being productive and getting everything organized we made some cute marshmallows :). Luckily Keira’s not at the age where we have a huge list of supplies she needs for school. These marshmallows are a fun and easy way to get kids excited for back to school. You can put them in school lunches for the first day too! read more

Easy DIY Floral Crown

Easy DIY Floral Crown made with dollar store materials - Val Event Gal

I love floral crowns. I am not sure if this is the right name I have heard floral headpiece or floral crown. I’m going to go with the one that sounds like royalty! They look so pretty at weddings on brides and adorable on flower girls. My hippie mom rocked a floral crown at her wedding. My parents wedding picture is perfection, it is full on hippie love. Luckily this look or bohemian look has made a comeback. I am a bit hippie at heart since I was raised by a couple of them. This easy diy floral crown is great for the bohemian look or a soft feminine floral look. Also fun for weddings or for kids, so versatile! read more

Pineapple Coconut Yum!

pineapple drink, drink in a pineapple, pineapple coconut drink, pineapple drink

Pineapple coconut yum! This drink is so yum I decided that’s what it has to be called. It is like a vacation in a glass or in this case in a pineapple! Why drink from a regular cup when you can drink from a pineapple?!

The past couple of weeks have been unbearable hot in Arizona. We had a week or so with tempatures all over 110, yuck! I just want to bathe in a tub of ice all day and drink frozen drinks. Luckily I will be getting out of the heat for a little bit soon. It is basically mandatory to go on vacation in the summer when you live in Arizona. To make things a little bit more tolerable I have been making lots of frozen drinks and swimming almost every day. I have also been on a huge pineapple kick I love to eat them, look at them, and decorate with them! When I have a nice pineapple drink I can imagine(or hallucinate from the heat) that I am on a beach drinking out of a pineapple. I had a whole weekend without my daughter, which is a rare occasion as a single mom. I decided to make it like a little staycation pool, pineapple drinks and a mani/pedi. I missed my daughter but it was amazing to just relax! This pineapple drink I made was delicious, definitely super fruity and girly because if I’m going to go fruity I go all out! You can make it with or without alcohol, I went with it because I was on “vacation”. I drank it out of a pineapple but I didn’t want to go through the effort of scooping out the middle of the pineapple so I cut off the top and bottom and put a cup in it. Just bring the cup you are going to use when picking out pineapples to get the size right. read more

Hot Dog Cupcakes

hot dog cupcakes, cupcakes that look like cupcakes, bbq cupcakes, bbq dessert, hot dogs, summer party

Last summer I made hot dog cupcakes for a summer party and they were a huge hit! I think any cupcakes that resemble savory food are just too much fun! As a kid I was the pickiest eater and hot dogs are one of the few things I would eat so I am very familiar with them. I know they aren’t the healthiest food but somehow I survived living off of them(and mac and cheese) until I was 12. Of course Keira is super picky too. She says she likes hot dogs but what she really likes is ketchup buns and eats around the actual hot dog. It seems that anything you did as a kid you seem to get back and then some as a parent, right?! read more
