Do you ever stop and think wow it’s already Friday? Sometime time just flies by because of our busy schedule. Often times I get caught up in the busy day to day schedule and I put off taking care of myself. I say tomorrow I will do something for myself and then tomorrow I will say the same thing. I’ve gotten to the point where I realize sometimes I have to put myself first and practice self care on the go. Life isn’t going to slow down with an active kid and working from home. It would be nice to be able to freeze time to just take a me day but until I come across time freezing powers I will have to make time freeze myself. Even if you are always on the go you can find little ways and little bits of time to take care of yourself that can make a big difference. Not only will I give you some easy ideas for self care, I made some PRINTABLES CLICK HERE that you can add right to a bottle of Honest Tea® or tape to the back of Lorissa’s Kitchen Premium Protein Snacks. It adds an easy way to plan out your self care and goals. Plus, simple motivational quotes because we could all use those little words of encouragement. The right drinks and snacks are an essential part of self care. Honest Tea® and Lorissa’s Kitchen Premium Protein Snacks are the perfect on the go snacks. I love Honest Tea’s Honey Green Tea and Lorissa’s Kitchen Korean Barbeque Beef. Yum, now I’m getting hungry. I always have a cooler worth of snacks and drinks packed for my daughter taking her to activities. Sometimes I forget to bring anything at all for myself and I wonder why I am so low on energy. Seriously ladies, we have to take care of ourselves too! read more

As the weather gets nicer out my fiance and I have been dying to get outdoors to explore. We live not too far from fun places to camp and explore. We decided to plan a trip to go see some caves that are a couple hours away. Getting outdoors and in nature is amazing for a change of scene. I sometimes need to get unplugged and just explore the outdoors. With busy schedules and juggling mom life, I needed a break! Luckily, my fiance loves going on adventures and exploring nature. It was the perfect way to celebrate organic month in September with Honest Tea® and Simple Truth® Beef Jerky to fuel us on our adventure. Honest Tea is authentically a step above, every day. They stand for being authentic and genuine, which you really feel in their tea brewed with fresh ingredients. It is such a refreshing beverage, perfect for on the go and our camping adventures. My fiance loves organic, fair trade products and tea is his favorite. He starts the day with iced tea since he is not a coffee drinker. Having Honest Tea and Simple Truth Beef Jerky for our adventure made him one happy camper, literally! read more

Easy DIY Paper Palm Fronds

This is my end of summer blog celebration with some tropical fun! I made some easy diy paper palm fronds for my daughters party and I wanted to show just how easy they are to make. You can’t have a tropical party without some palm fronds. You could decorate a whole party with a bunch of these on banners, table decor, and with balloons. Add some pineapples too and you are good to go. They can be in any colors to matching party colors. I only made one size but make them in a variety of sizes to give it more dimension as well. I know fall is coming but who doesn’t want to stay warm and tropical with some tropical celebrations. They are probably needed more in winter. I live by the beach so tropical parties are always an option! read more

A Sweet Bouquet With Cinnamon Rolls

Some bouquets are sweeter than others. This sweet diy cinnamon roll bouquet is easy to make and a fun gift to give friends. You can make homemade cinnamon rolls or a package. I went the easy route with a tube of rolls. Add colorful sprinkles to brighten them up more and put them on bamboo skewers to make a bouquet. I love how this bouquet turned out and seriously who doesn’t prefer a bouquet that you can eat?! Edible bouquets are becoming more and more popular because birthdays are a time to splurge on your favorite treats. Cinnamon rolls also go great with coffee so making it in a coffee mug is a perfect fit. I just used a large plain white mug with colorful tissue paper. You could also decorate a mug to give as part of the gift or get one with a funny saying on it. Lets get these cinnamon rolls started! read more

Dollar Store Floating Tray

I’m going to keep this post short and sweet just like the tutorial for the post. I made this floating tray with dollar store and dollar section materials. I have to tell you this isn’t 100% an original idea because I saw something similar. However, this is a much easier way to make it. I saw a tray that was made with pool floats and it included a lot of cutting and gluing to make the finished product. I don’t know about you but when I’m hanging by the pool I want to be lazy and relax. That is why I made this simple dollar store floating tray. It includes just a simple round tray and round float. If you cant find the round float at the dollar store check the grocery store for just a simple small float. read more

Moana Party Ideas

It’s actually a really good movie, one of the best kids movies I have seen in a while. I couldn’t find a lot of actually Moana decorations but this time of year the party store is filled with colorful, tropical fun so I snatched up all of those fun decorations! I love how everything turned out and my daughter really loved it. Of course I had to DIY a few things but most of it was simple to put together. I hope I can give you some inspiration and ideas to make a fun Moana party! Let’s get this party started! read more

Firework Balloons

I’m going to keep this post short and sweet because I’m moving this week and tired. Pardon any grammar mistakes. I also started this project one way and ended it another so I didn’t get pictures of the process for what worked.Originally I was going to use tissue paper for the firework part but it didn’t quite stay on right. In the end I used glitter glue to draw on little fireworks and I love how easy it was.

What you need to make them:

Tissue Paper Fireworks

Who doesn’t love fireworks! Ok dogs usually don’t and sometimes firework shows are just too crowded. However, once those beautiful shining fireworks start it is all worth it. That is one of the best parts of the Fourth of July and I wanted to make fireworks fun for kids too. Not with anything flammable because kids and fire do not mix! I’m talking about the squishy fun tissue paper kind. Kids can throw them all around and make their own firework show. They are also super cute for a decoration at parties! So lets bring on the summer and the Fourth of July with some fun fireworks! read more

Flamingo Treats

These flamingos are almost too cute to eat but they are edible! I made some cute cupcake and donut flamingos that are super simple to make with printable flamingo heads to add as toppers then pipe cleaners for the legs. They are tall but they have to stand tall like a flamingo to be a true flamingo treat. This is another one that I made a video for hopefully the video will help show you how easy they are to make. I also have some easy instructions for the bodies.

All you need are cupcakes or donuts. I have to say I prefer the donuts with the candy melts but with frosting piping the cupcakes would look adorable! read more
