Craft Room Challenge Week 2

It is week 2 of the craft room challenge and I have been busy cleaning off the surfaces of my desk and my daughters desk. We share this room and both have messes to clean up. I had piles of paper to tackle as well as craft supplies. My Christmas stuff was just sitting on my desk in a box with no where to go. The funny thing is we were actually out of town for Christmas so I didn’t even go all out I just made smaller projects that added up to a large mess. My daughters school papers from the fall were out of control and I’m still trying to figure out a system for these. Then I had some bridal shower stuff adding to the mess. You can see the before of my surfaces from week 1. It wasn’t unbearable but if I kept adding to it things would have become a craftnado real fast. read more

Family Traditions Holiday Gift Basket

This year coming home for the holidays is extra special. It is the first year in a long time that I have lived away from family. Shortly after I had my daughter, I moved from San Diego back to Phoenix where I was born to be close to family. As a single mom I really relied on my family. They were an amazing support! Then I met the love of my life and this past June moved to Florida. My fiancé is in the military and now he is stationed in Florida. We both have large families in Phoenix with cousins, grandparents, parents, and siblings all living there. While we love Florida and are becoming more at home, we also really miss family. We have been counting down the days until our trip back to Phoenix to see our family. read more

Sparkly Christmas Wreaths

I wanted to add a little shiny to my office with Christmas decorations! I came up with a few easy ways to make sparkly wreaths that are super easy to make. With a few simple steps I whipped these wreaths up in minutes. Of course I did it while listening to Christmas music and now my office has a festive sparkly look. You can’t be grumpy while looking at sparkly Christmas wreaths, that’s a fact. I used a few things from the dollar store, Walmart, and Target. I’m a work with what you got kind of gal but you could get most of these things from any of these stores. In fact you could get this kind of look all from the dollar store. I just like to have excuses to hit up all of my favorite crafty spots and of course the dollar store at Target. Now lets get down to the fun part shall we?! read more

Easy Wreath Christmas Cookies

One of my favorite things about Christmas is the cookies! I usually love to bake Christmas cookies with my Mom and Grandma. This year we have so many occasions that need treats. I wanted to find an easy no bake way to make some simple Christmas treats. I made these easy wreath Christmas cookies and trees too! I got store bought cookies. Bakery cookies from your local grocery store can taste just as good as homemade! Buy sugar cookies for decorating. You can make your own buttercream frosting for decorating or just buy the fun red and green tubes. read more

10 Christmas Party Games

Christmas Party Games

They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games but this Christmas I am making lots of games for Rudolph to play. I have ten fun Reindeer game ideas to play. All of them are easy and for a range of ages. Everyone can join in on the fun and games this Christmas. My family enjoys Christmas games at our Christmas Eve party but we are probably due for some new games. Some of these are made up from my own random thoughts and others are inspired by games I’ve seen in the past.

Dollar Store Ornament

I have become more and more fond of the dollar store over my crafting years. It is amazing how many projects I have been able to find all of the supplies for at the dollar store. That is the closest place to me that has crafty supplies. Then my next stop is usually Walmart. To get to a full on craft store I have a bit to drive so I usually save that for special supplies. Luckily the dollar store has me covered and I have been stopping there on the daily for Christmas stuff. Just kidding….kind of. I made these adorable fairy garden ornaments all from a few dollar store supplies. They were really, really easy to make and have such a pretty whimsical feel. I’ve seen all kinds of fairy gardens but never in ornament form. It was time for a fairy garden ornament! read more

Snowman Snack Cups

Here in sunny Florida we don’t get any snow. That is why I am extra excited for these snowman snack cups! My snow comes in marshmallow form and decorations. For day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas I made these adorable little snowman cups you can use them for drinks or snacks. They are really simple to make and turned out just adorable. They would be cute for a kids party or kids class treats. Adults would love them too! My daughter kind of helped to make them. Ok she mostly listened to Christmas music, chatted with me, and ate marshmallows while I made them but it was fun quality time. We had a quality time Christmas Day and it was the best! Crafts, snacks, Christmas music, a Christmas parade, night time hot chocolate, and Christmas lights. We had a Christmas binge and it was the best time ever! read more

Why wait to shop for MARS® Chocolates, hover over the picture above to find your chocolate at Walmart.com! Santa Claus is coming to town and that means he needs some milk and chocolate! This is the season to make gifts for family and friends. It is also a great time to get together with friends to make crafts and put together gifts for others while listen to Christmas music! I may not be a cookie maker but I sure can whip up some chocolate milk. To make the chocolate milk even more festive just add a little “Holiday Magic” mix, which includes M&M’S® and mini marshmallows. It really is a magic mix because of how tasty it is with M&M’S® Brand Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies, M&M’S® White Peppermint, and the small marshmallows. For the mix I used Ball® 4 oz Mini Jars. I’m surprised I had any left to give to friends after tasting the mix a few times. I kept going back for more. However this time of year is truly about spending time with friends and giving. For every purchase of M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies (9.4 oz or larger) at Walmart between 11/01/2017 and 12/25/2017, Mars Chocolate Inc.® will donate $5.00 to Feeding America® on behalf of its national network of food banks to secure and deliver one (1) half gallon of milk or more based on local markets. Maximum donation of $75,000. It is the sweetest gift to spend time with friends putting together gifts and sharing those gifts with others. DIY Unicorn Ornament

I was compensated for this post. This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Are you all ready for Christmas? Yes, I know it’s not even Halloween or Thanksgiving but Christmas is my favorite craft time of year. The best thing about these DIY Unicorn Ornaments is that you can hang these up year round. Unicorns are cute for kids rooms and really any occasion. I might have to hang some of these cuties in my office. It has kind of a unicorn vibe anyways. I used a few simple materials from Dollar Tree to get this cute look with faux flowers, gems, and gold pipe cleaners to make a sparkly cute unicorn ornament. Anyone can make these and they are cute for kids to help out with the stick on gems and drawing the face. Although, leave the hot gluing up to the professionals. read more
