I’ve been busy with the craft room challenge getting my craft room all pretty. This month has been a bit of a process to get my craft room organized. Luckily, we had a whole month to get it all done and honestly the decorating part I did all in the last few days. This part was a lot of fun for me! I still have a few items I want to add. Some wall prints and other little decorative items among them. I have my eye on some gold pineapple wall decals and mermaid art prints. I wanted to make some little mermaid printables. One saying “Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat” and another saying “I have gadgets and gismos a plenty”. I thought those lines would fit perfectly with a craft room. Hopefully I can get around to making those and adding them to this post in the near future. I went with a mermaid theme for my craft room because well basically I’ve always loved mermaids. I spent a large part of my childhood pretending to be a mermaid. I’d use the pool rings around my feet to make them into a mermaid tail. I sooo wish they had the mermaid tails from today that you can swim with when I was a kid. My sister, cousin, and I would pretend to be mermaids while laying in the hammock at my grandparents house. My grandmother would pretend to catch us in the hammock “net”. We live near the beach and our house has a bit of a beach vibe to it. The mermaid theme goes well with the vibe of our house. Plus, this is a fun room for kids too. I enjoy a bit of childlike whimsy and luckily I have a child. This is a fun and colorful room for both of us to enjoy. Not as much for my man but he’s just excited it’s all clean and tidy! read more
