Diy Galaxy Ornaments

I love making galaxy art. It always looks so pretty and is really easy to make. I made galaxy rocks that are really fun to make with kids. You can hide them in fun places for people to find or keep them for decorations. The galaxy rocks were my inspiration for this craft. These galaxy ornaments are not only super fun to make but they look so cool! This technique I used with my marble ornaments just added a galaxy flair. The perfect craft for kids or adults. They all turn out a little bit different. If you add more of one color they can be more of a colorful galaxy. read more

Penguin Games

My daughter loves penguins more than any other animal in the world. For homeschool we did a whole unit study on penguins. I know a lot about penguins at this point. We also have done some fun crafts and made penguin treats. I have a bunch of those on the blog that you can check out. At the end of our penguin unit we did a fun day of winter penguin games including penguin ice hockey, marshmallow penguin soccer, sledding, and smash the ice. Some of the games I was planning on using sugar cubes but I just used what we had that was marshmallows and lucky charms. My daughter liked the lucky charms idea. Of course winter penguin games have to include some icy fun. Penguins love the ice and snow. These games are really easy for kids to play. read more

I love making simple treat bags for kids and class gifts. If you are making Christmas gifts for a group these snowman treat bags are really easy to make and adorable! You can add more embellishments to them or keep them simple as I did. These work for party favors, class parties, neighborhood gifts. Put candy, little gifts, or gift cards inside. Diy marble ornament

I love the marble trend trend and ornaments are the most fun to marble! There are different ways to marble but this technique is easy and fun to do with kids. This one I made solo but my daughter joined me for galaxy ornament decorating. The key with these diy marble ornaments is to have at least 3 colors. I would say 3-4 colors are best. Also to make sure it is rotated enough to cover the clear spots. I could see these being fun for a girls night with friends or play date with kids. Also, as a diy craft for a Christmas party. read more

Mermaid Craft Room

Mermaid Office Desk

I’ve been busy with the craft room challenge getting my craft room all pretty. This month has been a bit of a process to get my craft room organized. Luckily, we had a whole month to get it all done and honestly the decorating part I did all in the last few days. This part was a lot of fun for me! I still have a few items I want to add. Some wall prints and other little decorative items among them. I have my eye on some gold pineapple wall decals and mermaid art prints. I wanted to make some little mermaid printables. One saying “Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat” and another saying “I have gadgets and gismos a plenty”. I thought those lines would fit perfectly with a craft room. Hopefully I can get around to making those and adding them to this post in the near future. I went with a mermaid theme for my craft room because well basically I’ve always loved mermaids. I spent a large part of my childhood pretending to be a mermaid. I’d use the pool rings around my feet to make them into a mermaid tail. I sooo wish they had the mermaid tails from today that you can swim with when I was a kid. My sister, cousin, and I would pretend to be mermaids while laying in the hammock at my grandparents house. My grandmother would pretend to catch us in the hammock “net”. We live near the beach and our house has a bit of a beach vibe to it. The mermaid theme goes well with the vibe of our house. Plus, this is a fun room for kids too. I enjoy a bit of childlike whimsy and luckily I have a child. This is a fun and colorful room for both of us to enjoy. Not as much for my man but he’s just excited it’s all clean and tidy! read more

Valentine's Gift For Kid

Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating the ones you love! There is no one in the world that I love more than my daughter Keira. That is why I wanted to find a fun way to show her how much I care for Valentine’s Day. She is a fun, smart, and curious 6 year old. She also really loves school and learning. I thought it would be fun to make a cute smart cookie gift bag for her with fun things inside to encourage her learning and show her I care. Plus cute cookies to decorate. What could be better than cookies, American Greetings Valentine’s Day Cards, and books?! I also made some fun smart cookie printables to go with the gift bag. These would look cute also with cards and cookies thank out to friends for smaller gifts. Cards are a great way to show your loved ones how you feel. If you are making a gift bag I have printables for all kinds of fun gifts that encourage kids and their learning. read more

10 Household Items to repurpose to get organized

10 Household Items To Repurpose To Get Organized

It is time to get organized! I am waaayy behind on the craft room challenge because well life. I have actually been doing the things but getting pictures and all that up has been a struggle. Sometimes life happens and when it rains it pours. As long as I get it all done in the end that is what matters. Then I will be organized and on track for the rest of the year! Hallelujah! Last week was purging and while I did purge some stuff, I am still not done with all of that aaaannd I didn’t get the post up last week. My daughter and man got a day off in the middle of the week for an ice day(apparently that’s a thing in Florida haha) and my plans went out the window. We had some much needed family time and a mini road trip but I didn’t get the things I needed to get done. Then I had a sponsored post that I thought was due on one day but it was really a day earlier. This is why I need to get organized! Plus wedding details, the countdown is on to my wedding, it is less than two months away, holy cow! read more

Valentines Tic Tac Toe

Conversation Heart Games

Valentines Tic Tac Toe

One of my favorite Valentine’s Day candies is conversation hearts. I actually will always go for chocolate over this type of candy but when it comes time for Valentine’s Day I have to buy conversation hearts. More because they are bright and cheery. They are colorful and well colorful things in life are my jam including these cute colorful candy. They are fun on their own but I wanted to make them even more fun by using them for easy Valentine’s Day Conversation Heart Games! These are fun games to play with kids and adults over some cocktails. Adults can enjoy little simple games too. However, they are definitely kid approved, I tested them out on my kiddo and she had a blast! I made a couple of classics Tic Tac Toe and Connect Four. Then I added a couple dice game options. read more
