Christmas Gift Tree

Pretty Christmas Gift Tree

This year we are going to be out of town on Christmas so we didn’t get a tree to decorate. Our tree decorating will happen when we travel back to Phoenix to see family. Since we aren’t getting an actually tree I thought it would be fun to make some kind of version of a tree. This is what I like to call the Christmas gift tree! It is tiered to look like a tree. I went with the sparkly tinsel with gold ornaments but you could use all green garland to look like a green tree! Each layer has little gifts on it with smaller ones on top like little gift cards or dollar bills. The middle layer can have slightly larger items such as small cooking utensils, nail polish, or lip glosses. Then the bottom layer can have slightly larger items like small serving bowls, mini bottles of wine, or chocolates. You can make the gift with a theme or mix and match fun little items that the recipient would love. It’s fun to discover new little things hidden in each layer. Then for the actual tray it can be a tiered tray for them to reuse or just paper plates in three sized. Wrap it all in cellophane to keep everything together if needed. read more

Christmas Ornament Party

One of the best things about the Christmas season is the parties! In the past I have done the classic Christmas party. This year I wanted to try something more fun and modern! I am going to show you how to have a super girly Christmas party! This would be such a fun theme for a girls night or Christmas crafting party. Decorating ornaments at this colorful table with girlfriends is a blast! It’s a Christmas Ornament Party with lots of easy do it yourself ornament touches. I went with pink and gold colors for more of a modern look but traditional red and green would work too. Make it your own with any colors you want that fit your crowd. This is such an easy party tablescape to set up and the end result is really pretty. I’ll show a few easy do it yourself projects to make a shiny ornament party. Shine on and bring the bling to your tablescape with lots of tinsel and glittery ornaments. I used wrapping paper for the base of the tablescape but you can use a colorful table cloth as well. I love this tablescape because it is bright and colorful. It is the perfect mix of playful and classy. read more

Easy Wreath Christmas Cookies

One of my favorite things about Christmas is the cookies! I usually love to bake Christmas cookies with my Mom and Grandma. This year we have so many occasions that need treats. I wanted to find an easy no bake way to make some simple Christmas treats. I made these easy wreath Christmas cookies and trees too! I got store bought cookies. Bakery cookies from your local grocery store can taste just as good as homemade! Buy sugar cookies for decorating. You can make your own buttercream frosting for decorating or just buy the fun red and green tubes. read more

Simple Cocoa Bar

For my hot cocoa bar, I had big plans! However, life has been a bit hectic for me lately and the time I had planned to make a hot cocoa bar just wasn’t there. My daughter still wanted to have some cocoa and I put together this crazy easy hot cocoa bar in a few seconds. I used my daughters folding table and some Christmas stuff that we have collected this Christmas season. It is day 7 of the 12 days of Christmas and these 12 days are just flying by! I can’t wait to see the hot coca fun everyone has in store for today! read more

10 Christmas Party Games

Christmas Party Games

They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games but this Christmas I am making lots of games for Rudolph to play. I have ten fun Reindeer game ideas to play. All of them are easy and for a range of ages. Everyone can join in on the fun and games this Christmas. My family enjoys Christmas games at our Christmas Eve party but we are probably due for some new games. Some of these are made up from my own random thoughts and others are inspired by games I’ve seen in the past.

Pipe Cleaner Christmas Food Toppers

Christmas Party Food Toppers

Reindeer and Snowflake food toppers

This is one of those Christmas projects I thought of last minute, winged it, and they turned out super cute! Sometimes I plan and plan, then the project turns out like crap. Other times I get in the zone, improvise, and something good comes out of it. I was having a Christmas Day of crafting, Christmas music, pjs, and eating Christmas cookies with my daughter. We came up with these fun sparkly Christmas party food toppers made out of pipe cleaners. We made reindeer, Christmas trees, and snowflakes oh my. I’m going to show how to make the little snowflakes. The trees are super easy and the reindeers are the hardest but oh so cute. All in all it is an easy shiny and fun craft. Really great for making with kids. So I have pictures for the snowflakes, the trees you can figure out from the instructions but the reindeer I made a video and I just need to figure out how to upload that to give you the whole tutorial of how to make them. Overall they are all easy peasy to make! read more

Christmas Movie Quote Printables

Christmas Movie Quote Printables

Home Alone Aaah Printable

Merry Christmas all! One of my favorite Christmas traditions is watching my favorite Christmas movies. Today I will be showing you some fun Christmas movie quote printables for a fun Christmas movie night. I picked a couple of my favorites because I couldn’t pick just one. I did narrow it down to my top three! The top three are…drum roll….. Elf, Christmas Vacation, and Home Alone. These are my favorite Christmas movies of all time. I also like to throw in some Hallmark Christmas movies to watch! They are so incredibly cheesy it is amazing. Nothing like a warm and fuzzy Christmas movie. My favorite Christmas movies I love because they make me laugh for completely different reasons. The childlike fun of Elf on one end and the funny family dynamics of Christmas Vacation. I’ve already watched Elf now on to the next one. read more

Adorable Elf Snacks

Elf Snacks Gift Jar

Adorable Elf Snacks I’m sure the elves are already busy making toys! Do they make them year round? Well this has to be their busiest time of year and they deserve some sweet elf snacks. Plus, your friends and family also deserve elf snacks. I made these simple holiday treats and gift jar that make the perfect easy food gift. I used mini marshmallows dipped in chocolate to make small enough treats for an elf. Plus, you can’t feel guilty about eating sweets when they are in tiny bites like this. That is just a fact! I was originally going to make little sugar cookies for elf snacks but it was hard to get good cookies that were tiny enough for elves. These chocolate covered mini marshmallows are waaaayyy easier to make than cookies and the perfect little treats. I made elf printables for the jar you can use some or all of them on a jar of elf snacks. What you need for the jars: mason jars green paint(optional) tape scissors ELF PRINTABLES and white card stock paper For the elf marshmallow snacks: mini marshmallows melting candy wafers or candy melts in red, green, or white(2 colors are good for the sizzling on top) sprinkles in any holiday colors read more

In the spring I always love to make fairy gardens. I thought it might be fun to bring some of the fairy garden magic into Christmas. I love making my own ornaments and adding new ones to the tree each year. Over the years I have gotten a bit of a collection and these fairy garden ornaments are the perfect addition to my collection. I made these with the help of a few dollar store materials. When I saw their Christmas decorations out I went a little crazy and snatched up a bunch of the fun ornaments and things before they run out! You can also find supplies online. Don’t you just love shopping in pajamas?! Especially with a kid sometimes it is difficult to find time to run out and get things for craft projects. I love how these ornaments turned out! The butterflies on the outside make it look like they are flying away or the butterfly is carrying the garden. It’s whimsical and beyond easy to make. read more

DIY Unicorn Ornament

I was compensated for this post. This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Are you all ready for Christmas? Yes, I know it’s not even Halloween or Thanksgiving but Christmas is my favorite craft time of year. The best thing about these DIY Unicorn Ornaments is that you can hang these up year round. Unicorns are cute for kids rooms and really any occasion. I might have to hang some of these cuties in my office. It has kind of a unicorn vibe anyways. I used a few simple materials from Dollar TreeĀ to get this cute look with faux flowers, gems, and gold pipe cleaners to make a sparkly cute unicorn ornament. Anyone can make these and they are cute for kids to help out with the stick on gems and drawing the face. Although, leave the hot gluing up to the professionals. read more
