DIY Birthday Minnie Ears

This year I got to spend my birthday at the happiest place on earth! For the occasion I made some easy DIY birthday Minnie ears to wear at the park. These were super simple and cheap to make for our trip. I made them last minute and was ready to celebrate. It was one of the best birthdays with my fiancé and daughter. There are a few easy ways to personalize these ears too with different colors. You don’t need any fancy craft tools or materials to make them too. I used pinks and yellow because these are colors I like but black ears with bright colors would also look adorable. I wanted to find a way to put a birthday hat on Minnie ears and it can really be done with any Minnie ears but I also wanted some paper confetti! If you are celebrating your birthday you have to have birthday Minnie ears! read more

DIY Unicorn Favor Bags

This week is all about the unicorns because they are awesome and I can never get enough unicorns! I made these adorable unicorn favor bags. You can use this technique to make unicorn gift bags as well. Who wouldn’t love a little gift dressed up as a unicorn. I have some other unicorn fun coming your way later this week but these bags are one of my favorites. I may have an obsession and I may be writing this while wearing my unicorn slippers. Unicorn parties are fun for kids and adults. One of these days I plan to have a unicorn brunch with lots of rainbow fun treats. I got these bags from the dollar store but you can use any white bags, although the handles on the bags worked really well for the ears. For the hair I used some rainbow metallic tissue paper from the party store for the hair. You can use colorful tissue paper as well. read more

Birthday Candy Crown

On your birthday you should wear a crown! Even better if that crown is made of candy! This is a fun treat for kids or adults on their birthday. Use any kind of candy the birthday girl likes on this fun crown. It’s my birthday week and I plan on wearing a crown full of candy. I plan on eating a ton of candy and other treats too. Peppa Pig Party Ideas and Printable

My niece loves the show Peppa Pig. She has probably watched every episode multiple times. I think it is a cute show. Any kids show that you have to watch a million times gets old after some time but it’s a silly cute show. My daughter was obsessed with Team Umizoomi so I could happily go the rest of my life without seeing that show again. Without a doubt when my niece was turning 4 she wanted to have a Peppa party. I made some fun little printable for decorations at her party. I also made desserts and helped decorate. Since she was having her party at a play place we didn’t do anything over the top just a few simple decorations. Cars Printable Snack Boxes

Cars is such a cute movie and every movie needs some snacks! These printable snack boxes are adorable for a movie night. You can put popcorn and chips in them. You could also add some fruits and veggies in plastic bags. It’s an easy do it yourself for parties or movie nights inspired by the cars movies. I have seen almost all the kids movies that have come out in the last couple years. I’ve only seen a couple adult movies because I’m usually with my daughter and asleep by 9. I have to say I think some of the kids movies are really good. The Cars movies are really cute and definitely a crowd pleaser. We do a lot of movie nights in because it’s just way easier and kids don’t always have the attention span for movies out of the house. Plus, it’s cheaper! I like to make theme nights and movie nights extra fun. We pile pillows and blankets on the floor in the living room to watch movies. Cars is the perfect movie for a themed movie night. Have mini chocolate donut tires, fuel up on drinks, and mini car races for an activity. read more

Kids Birthday Questionnaire

My daughter turned 6 recently and it seems like the time flies by doesn’t it?! I was looking at her baby book recently. Ok I actually only finished her baby book recently in true procrastinator fashion. There was a cute list of all her likes and first in one of the little books I had. I loved looking back at that and thought it would be cute to have a little birthday questionnaire each year for her to look back and remember what she liked at each age. It’s just a few simple questions for kids to answer about themselves. If they are too young to fill it out mom can fill it out for them. I would also suggest using black sharpie to fill it out to see it better in pictures. Do as I say not as I do! You ca just keep the questions or take a cute picture with your kid holding up the questions. I didn’t plan far ahead for this so I just took a random picture but kids could be in their favorite spot, room, holding a favorite stuffed animal, or with their favorite food in the picture to make it extra fun! read more

Moana Party Games

My daughter is obsessed with Moana. She sings the songs, she dresses in Moana costumes, she is a huge Moana fan! I have to say this is one of my favorite Disney movies in recent years. The music is great even when you’ve heard it a zillion times and the whole movie was very well done. I haven’t seen a lot of adult movies in recent years so when we find a good kids movie I get really excited! I was really excited for my daughters Moana party and planned some fun Moana party games for the occasion. We didn’t need too many games but I came up with a few fun ideas! It’s good to have a couple simple games and activities to keep the party moving but keep them easy. read more

Moana Cupcakes

For my daughter’s Moana party I wanted to make some cute cupcakes! Cupcakes are kind of my thing and I like to make simple ones that still look really cute. I decided to make some Pua and Hei Hei inspired cupcakes. The kids absolutely loved these cute cupcakes. I also made a cake but the cupcakes were chosen over the cake and I don’t blame the kids for that because they are really cute! Let’s get this party started!

The best part is they can be decorations and games all in one! I love coming up with party games. My daughter and I use some of them just to play when we have nothing else to do. You can never have too many ideas for games or activities. Especially the easy kind because who has time to have elaborate games. I know I don’t have the patients and my daughter certainly doesn’t have the patience. These games can really work for any type of kids party theme!
