Free Printable Countdown to Disney Banner

Free Printable Countdown To Disney Banner

We just went to Disney World for the first time and I had a blast! I have been to Disney Land many times but now we live in Florida and I will be a Disney World regular. My daughter was really excited to go too. I wanted to make something to build up the excitement for our trip. I made this fun free printable countdown to Disney banner. It also includes some easy activities to do the week before your trip to build up excitement. You can also decorate the banner with some bows to make them look extra like Mickey or Minnie Mouse. This is just a simple way to get ready for your trip. You can do some or all of the activity ideas or just take off or cross off a number each day for the countdown. What ever works best for you and your kids. read more

  • Nothing is better in summertime than lemonade! It is my favorite summer drink to keep cool. As a kid I have such great memories of making lemonade stands with my family. We lived on a cul de sac and everyone in the neighborhood were close friends. That made having a lemonade stand extra fun because all the neighbors would come by and support us. My sister and I would put two straws in a cup because we thought it looked fancy. I still sometimes like to drink my drinks with two colorful straws. I decided to continue the family tradition of making a lemonade stand and it was even more fun as an adult! It was made extra easy by using 2 liter bottles of Minute Maid® Lemonade for our lemonade at the lemonade stand. We made a colorful yellow and sunny lemonade stand. I created some fun lemonade printables to decorate the cups and stand. I love how the lemon printables turned out! Since the lemonade stand I have been drinking my Minute Maid lemonade with straws that have lemon toppers to make it feel more festive. We also made fun to go cups for the lemonade. I find that sometimes the problem with lemonade stands is the lemonade is tricky for people to take with without spilling. I dressed up mason jars and yellow paper cups with fun printables plus spill proof lids. I tested them out by tipping them to the side to make sure they wouldn’t spill and it worked! That may be a risky way to test it, but luckily the lids passed the test.

To get your lemonade stand started first you will need to pick up some Minute Maid Lemonade from Publix! It is located in the aisle with specialty drinks and soft drinks next to the soft drinks. The 2 Liter bottles are perfect for a lemonade stand and making a lot of drinks find your local store HERE. Find your local store and save a $1 when you buy 2 2 liter bottles save in store. Earn a $1 on 12 pack, 12 oz cans Ibotta offer. read more

Moana Party Printables

For my daughters birthday party she new she wanted a Moana party! She loves the movie and of course we have watched it a zillion times. Every time we watch it she has a new favorite character. She is fond of Maui and Tomatoa. She also loves Moana’s animal side kicks and of course Moana. I made some printables inspired by the movie they are fun for banners, food labels, favor tags, and more. You can get really creative with how you use the printable. They looked so cute to add an extra touch to my daughters party decorations. I didn’t find a lot of decorations from the store so I had to DIY a lot of the decor, which was a blast for me. Luckily her birthday being in May makes for a lot of tropical decorations at the party store so we bought those and added the printables to the tropical decorations. read more

I wanted to combine a few of my favorite things balloons and flowers. This pink flower balloon garland is very simple to make and just look at how pretty it is! Pink is a great color to use for spring  but you really could do any color you want. You can get everything for this garland at the dollar store besides the glitter letters but those aren’t necessary. With dollar store materials this garland is so pretty and cheap to make. Add any types of flowers just a few or a a bunch.I think it would also look good with black and white balloons with bright color flowers. read more

Bacon & Eggs Banner

Bacon & Eggs Banner - brunch banner made with cardstock paper - Val Event Gal

Who else loves brunch as much as I do?! I think most people like brunch and breakfast foods. I am not the best cook, baking I can do but cooking I find more challenging. Maybe I’m just more motivated by sweets! However, breakfast foods I can kind of pull off. Not anything crazy complicated, although my bacon flowers are impressive ;)! Seriously, check them out here if you haven’t yet: http://valeventgal.com/2015/08/bacon-flowers/ Bacon, eggs, french toast, and pancakes oh my, so many yummy brunch options. I made this bacon & eggs banner for a brunch. It was the perfect simple decoration that I whipped up with cardstock paper and ribbon. read more
