DIY Easy Unicorn Balloons

Unicorn Balloons

Doesn’t everyone want to be a unicorn or have a unicorn? Well now you can have one just in balloon form. It is easy to make your own unicorn balloons. They won’t float but you can hang them all over to decorate a party! You could also use them for centerpieces just put them on top of vase.

What you need:

balloons in white, pink or rainbow colors

black sharpie

metallic or bright colorful rainbow tissue paper

  • Blow up balloons.
  • Draw on face as shown above with a black sharpie, I used blue because I couldn’t find black at the moment but black would show up better.
  • Take a party hat cut it in half. Glue the edges of the half together.
  • Punch a hole through the top about an inch down and add ribbon to hang.
  • On the bottom add strips of the metallic tissue paper or colorful tissue paper. You can tape them to the inside or punch a hole and tie them on. When you put the horn on the balloon put the hair slightly to the side of the face.
  • Add tape to the inside of the balloon sticky side facing out spread out around the horn. Attach it to the top of the balloon making sure the tape is sticking to the balloon.
  • Hang balloons from the top of the horns.

    Hot Dog Balloons

    Hot Dog Balloons

I love balloons and easy do it yourself party decorations. These hot dog balloons fit perfectly into those categories. Summer is the time for barbecue celebrations in most parts of the country. I lived in Phoenix until recently and summer was not the best for outdoors. Fortunately we had a pool to cool off in and because of that we still got some outdoor barbecue time. Now I’m living close to the beach and I’m ready for some outdoor bbq time. So lets put another shrimp on the barbie or hot dog and get ready to celebrate! These balloons are super cute to use for table centerpieces or taped to the wall for a photo backdrop. People can also hold them to pose with a giant hot dog. Fun for kids and adults alike! Let’s get this party started shall we?! read more

    colorful marbled balloons

    DIY Marble Balloons

    DIY Marble Balloons

Continuing with all things marbled! I have been seeing many party places making marble balloons and I thought it would be fun to make them myself. The benefit of making them yourself is you can make them in any colors you want. I went with bright colors but pastels would be pretty and sparkly would look so good too! You can use different color balloons but the white is nice for making the colors really pop. I tried a few different ways of swirling so you can see what type of look you like and go with that. The one up front above reminds me of out space and would look really cool on black balloons. read more

    chick balloons

    DIY Easter Chick Balloons

DIY Easter Chick Balloons are an adorable Easter decorations

I feel like my blog and life needs more balloons! You will be seeing more balloons from me coming up. They are just such an easy decoration and you can make so many cute things in balloon form. Like these diy Easter chick balloons. They were incredibly simple to put together and I just love how adorable they turned out. My daughter also absolutely loves balloons. She will keep a balloon as long as possible. I have to get rid of them when she is not around or else it makes her cry. Yes, she cries a lot and her new thing is to say I am breaking her heart. You know if I threw out the milk that has gone bad it breaks her heart. Getting rid of balloons definitely breaks her heart. I actually love how sensitive she is because it took me until I was 30 to be okay with crying in front of people. She cries and is over it in a minute then off to play a game. I have also gotten very better at holding back my laughter when she is crying over a ripped piece of paper. Anyways, no one is crying when these cute chick balloons are around. At least not until they have to go back to the “farm”. They are fun for spring and of course Easter decorations. read more
