Drink Me I’m Irish Drink

1

I have been getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day this week. I wanted to try out making an Irish drink to really get in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day. As a mom it is good to make something for yourself once in a while. Mommy needs a break sometimes and to relax at night with a little mom juice, am I right?! When I was in college for St. Paddy’s we would go to an Irish bar that was jam packed and I would have to get the green beer to have my Irish drink. Usually it was some watered down beer and by the end of the night someone had spilled green beer on me. Okay it was probably me doing the spilling, I’m clumsy like that ;). I am happy to be past the point of going out to crowded places on St. Patrick’s Day.

I love Bailey’s Irish Cream with coffee but I wanted to mix it up a bit. I decided to make a milkshake with coffee ice cream and Bailey’s that I like to call the “drink me I’m Irish”. Let me tell you, it was delicious!

Ingredients:

– 4 scoops of coffee ice cream

– 1/2 cup of Bailey’s Irish Cream

– 1/2 cup of milk(I used 2%)

– to top whip cream and caramel with 1 drop green food coloring to add a little Irish

Combine ice cream, Bailey’s and milk in the blender. Blend until smooth. If it is too liquidy add a few ice cubes to the blender. This recipe will make 2 glasses. Pour in a glass, add whip cream and caramel on top. I added some green sprinkles on top, a few orange ones snuck in there too :). I also used a green paper straw to make it pretty, a shamrock paper straw would be a cute touch!

Yummy Bailey’s Irish milkshake! My kind of Irish drink and now I am officially in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit!
