Beach Sandals Cupcakes

Beach Sandals Cupcakes. A fun dessert for summer and beach themed celebrations

I’m in serious need of some beach time. I’m sure we all are, am I right?! I used to live in San Diego but now I live in Phoenix. When it gets to this time of year I miss the beach. I just want to put my feet in the sand. For now I will have to settle for a pool. Even if I can’t get the real thing it is a great time of year for beach themed parties. These beach sandals cupcakes are perfect for summer and beach parties. They’re simple to make and you can bring the beach to you! I just love making(eating) cupcakes and needed to get my cupcake fix. read more

s'mores that look like pink pool floats

Pink Pool Float S’mores

Pink Pool Float S'mores are a fun dessert for summer!

If you have visited my blog you probably know that I like to make some random things. I just have weird ideas pop into my head and try to make them. That is basically my blog in a nutshell. I wanted to make some s’mores because s’mores are always a fun summer dessert but I had to make the s’mores into something cute. These pink pool float s’mores are really adorable for summer parties. These are like the old school pool floats not the new fancy ones. I like the new donut pool floats because donuts but I have a special place in my heart for the older pool floats. The ones as a kid we used to make into a ride with pretend shark attacks. I don’t know if that is a thing my sister and I just did or if everyone did that as a kid. Anyways these are really cute and easy to make for pool parties! read more

Colorful DIY Summer Wreath

Colorful DIY Summer Wreath

Something about summer just makes me want to make things with bright colors, in this case a colorful diy summer wreath. Okay, I am actually like that year round but sunshine and bright colors go together so well. A long time ago I had bought these colorful straws that have just been sitting there. I don’t know if I bought them for a party or just because I thought I might need some colorful straws to brighten up my drinks. Either way I haven’t really used them and when I came across them I thought they needed to be used for a craft project. I was thinking maybe a chandelier but I really wanted to make a summer wreath to hang on the door so I decided to go with a wreath. This is a really simple wreath with simple materials that I had around the house. I like to do that a lot. Look in my craft supplies, see what I have and what I can turn it into. It’s like a scavenger hunt! This colorful diy summer wreath is easy to make and perfect for summer parties! read more

DIY Big Drink Umbrellas

DIY Big Drink Umbrellas. Perfect decorations for a summer celebration or for large drinks!

It is starting to really feel like summer, which makes me want to celebrate! I got some little drink umbrellas and I was thinking a bigger version would be perfect for party decorations. Bigger is always better right?! I love either teeny tiny decorations or giant over sized things. I love these diy big drink umbrellas. I will be using them all summer long. You can put them in large drinks like a giant margarita or use them for centerpieces in a vase. Don’t they just make you want to be on the beach with a pina colada? read more

Summer Party!

Summer Party Ideas -Val Event GalI hope everyone is enjoy your summer so far. We basically live in the pool at this point since it is usually 110 degrees. It is hard with kids in the summer in Arizona. They just want to be outside all the time and we usually cant go out for more than 10 minutes unless there is water involved. We have to get creative with things to do and activities. Since it dropped below 110 this week we had to take advantage of the cool weather :). We had a few people over to swim. I put together some easy decorations and food. read more
