Nothing is better in summertime than lemonade! It is my favorite summer drink to keep cool. As a kid I have such great memories of making lemonade stands with my family. We lived on a cul de sac and everyone in the neighborhood were close friends. That made having a lemonade stand extra fun because all the neighbors would come by and support us. My sister and I would put two straws in a cup because we thought it looked fancy. I still sometimes like to drink my drinks with two colorful straws. I decided to continue the family tradition of making a lemonade stand and it was even more fun as an adult! It was made extra easy by using 2 liter bottles of Minute Maid® Lemonade for our lemonade at the lemonade stand. We made a colorful yellow and sunny lemonade stand. I created some fun lemonade printables to decorate the cups and stand. I love how the lemon printables turned out! Since the lemonade stand I have been drinking my Minute Maid lemonade with straws that have lemon toppers to make it feel more festive. We also made fun to go cups for the lemonade. I find that sometimes the problem with lemonade stands is the lemonade is tricky for people to take with without spilling. I dressed up mason jars and yellow paper cups with fun printables plus spill proof lids. I tested them out by tipping them to the side to make sure they wouldn’t spill and it worked! That may be a risky way to test it, but luckily the lids passed the test.

To get your lemonade stand started first you will need to pick up some Minute Maid Lemonade from Publix! It is located in the aisle with specialty drinks and soft drinks next to the soft drinks. The 2 Liter bottles are perfect for a lemonade stand and making a lot of drinks find your local store HERE. Find your local store and save a $1 when you buy 2 2 liter bottles save in store. Kids Birthday Questionnaire

My daughter turned 6 recently and it seems like the time flies by doesn’t it?! I was looking at her baby book recently. Ok I actually only finished her baby book recently in true procrastinator fashion. There was a cute list of all her likes and first in one of the little books I had. I loved looking back at that and thought it would be cute to have a little birthday questionnaire each year for her to look back and remember what she liked at each age. It’s just a few simple questions for kids to answer about themselves. If they are too young to fill it out mom can fill it out for them. I would also suggest using black sharpie to fill it out to see it better in pictures. Do as I say not as I do! You ca just keep the questions or take a cute picture with your kid holding up the questions. I didn’t plan far ahead for this so I just took a random picture but kids could be in their favorite spot, room, holding a favorite stuffed animal, or with their favorite food in the picture to make it extra fun! read more

Summertime just makes me want to relax by the pool and not worry about a thing. In stores I keep seeing outfits and activities for summer, which means it is time to stock up on summer essentials! I am always one of the first people to get cute colorful towels, sunglasses, and flip flops. In Phoenix we start getting ready for summer early because it feels like summer in March. My latest summer obsession is those adorable drink pool floats that look like swans and flamingos. How great is it that now you can have your Coca-Cola™ or Diet Coke® floating along with you in the pool to cool you off in the heat of summer! I thought why keep all of the summer fun to myself? This year I am spreading some summer fun with the friends I can’t wait to share the summer with by giving them a beach towel gift bag. Who’s ready for a fiesta?! I know it’s not quite Cinco De Mayo, but in my opinion fiestas can happen any time of year. I love Mexican food and a colorful party! I think spring is a good time to start the fiestas and keep them going through the summer. It is the best time of year in Phoenix to get outdoors and entertain before it is too hot. Although I love a good pool party too! If you’ve visited my blog you know I also can’t get enough of bright colors. That makes a fiesta the perfect fit. I am doing more Cinco De Mayo posts than Mother’s Day this year because I am in a colorful mood. Don’t worry I will also have some Mother’s Day fun as well! Last year I made these Fiesta Flowers that have been a huge hit and are really easy to make! They would look adorable with these placemats. Free Printable Bunny Drink Sleeves

I know Easter is still a ways away but I’m getting ready for it. I saw all of the cute decorations in the dollar section at Target and decided I have to start getting ready. I thought it would be fun if leading up to Easter I put some cute Easter things in my daughters lunch. I sometimes like to make little drawings and I’m sure I will do something cute with fruit(that she wont eat). Don’t worry I’m not the mom that makes cute things every day for lunch. I typically make a regular peanut butter sandwich and call it a day. I’m not making Keira’s food into masterpieces on a daily basis, who has time for that. Cinderella Printable

Having a kid makes me very nostalgic. I love watching the older Disney movies with my daughter that I loved when I was a kid. I also love all of the music. My daughter Keira could do without me singing along to all of the songs but I can’t help it! A dream is a wish your heart makes is my favorite song from Cinderella. The words still ring true as an adult. Adults don’t listen to their dreams and hearts as much as children. I definitely have been working on recapturing some of myself and childlike spirit. My daughter has brought that out in me a lot and it really is the best to re-experience some of the joys of childhood through your child. OK enough of the cheesiness, I told you I get nostalgic! This Cinderella printable is great for a bedroom decoration or a Cinderella party. Maybe next to the pretty Cinderella slipper cupcakes ;), if you haven’t seen them yet check them out so much sparkly goodness! I put one of these printables in my room and in my daughters room. I have not seen the new Cinderella movie but it is on my list to see. I absolutely love the dress with all the butterflies, my daughter got a new Cinderella dress. This is her third Cinderella dress that is how much she loves the character. The first Halloween that Keira got to choose her own costume she dressed up as Cinderella. read more

Game of Thrones Printable and Dragon Eggs

If you are not a Game of Thrones fan this post is not for you but to my fellow fans welcome! I’m obviously very excited for the Game of Thrones premiere this week. I might need to get HBO Go just to watch this show. That is how much I love it! I may or may not be dressed as the queen of dragons while watching. I also need to go back and binge watch all of last season before I start this one. With so many characters it is hard to remember where everyone was at when it ended last season. Plus my memory is about as good as a goldfish. I am just assuming goldfish don’t have a long term memory but I could be wrong. read more
