Easy Pineapple Pinata

easy pineapple pinata, pineapple pinata, pineapple party, pull string pinata, pinata, diy pinata

Sticking with my pineapple obsession/theme I have an easy pineapple pinata. This pineapple pinata is a pull string made with a paper lantern and tissue paper! You could also use the paper lanterns for decoration if you don’t want to have a pinata. I’m all for the pinatas! Yes, sometimes I like to really hit a pinata but I also like to pull a string and have candy fall from the sky :). Living the dream, most of my dreams involve candy. I have attempted to make a pinata before but it was a bit too complicated for me. This is easy breezy and looks really cute! read more

Party for a Leprechaun

IMG_30331

To get my daughter Keira excited for St. Patrick’s Day we had to do something with leprechauns. I have seen a lot of really cute leprechaun traps but I wanted to do something a little bit different. Sticking with what we do best I decided to throw a party for a little leprechaun. I figured you don’t need a trap if you throw a party because leprechauns do not miss a party, true story. Also, any excuse to make teeny tiny party decorations I will take. Keira helped to make the little decorations. She seriously is the best helper, I am lucky that she has the patience for my crazy projects. I also drew a picture of a leprechaun, our guest of honor and named him Lucky. read more

Oscar Party

IMG_2593

I am really excited for the Oscar’s on Sunday. Honestly, I haven’t seen most of the movies but I love seeing what everyone is wearing and making a list of movies I will be seeing when they come out on Netflix ;). That’s mom life for you, not many movie nights out. It’s not an occasion for me to go over the top but there are some cute easy ways to have a fun little Oscar viewing party.

Candy Heart Pops!

PicMonkey Collage

These marshmallow pops and heart candy pops taste great! They are super easy to make and look adorable. I am all about the bright fun colors this Valentine’s Day! I think I went a little overboard with the candy hearts I bought so I am using them in any ways I can. No actual baking involved here so anyone could make these.

For the heart pops you need candy melts any color you want or white chocolate, conversation hearts or heart sprinkles, lollipop sticks and a candy making bottle. read more

Ice Cream!

PicMonkey Collage2

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! We have been having an amazing ice cream month. Celebrating all month long with as much ice cream as possible. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it! My daughter and I usually celebrate sundae Sundays. We wear our party hats and go out for ice cream. People always assume it’s her birthday but we don’t need a birthday to wear party hats. I am enjoying this time now because I know soon enough my daughter will be extremely embarrassed by wearing party hats in public with me. Not to say I won’t still wear party hats and embarrass her. read more
