These monster eye Halloween Hershey Kisses are the easiest Halloween dessert for parties or to pass out to trick or treaters. You can just have a bowl of Halloween Hershey Kisses for guests. Since I always have googly eyes for crafts(I use an excessive amount of googly eyes) I though they would be perfect to put on some kind of candy. The bottom of the kisses are the perfect size for a googly eye. You can put these in the bowl of candy to pass out to trick or treaters to add a little more fun to the candy.

My daughter loves to wear headbands! She also is big into dress up and pretend play. I wanted to make a monster headband for her and this diy monster headband was really fun to make. I used things we had around the house to make it. You can make it for pretend play or with a Halloween costume. A lot of monster costumes have a huge fuzzy part that goes over your head. Most kids I know wont wear costumes that cover up most of their head. You could then just glue a bunch of googly eyes on a dress and black felt for a mouth . Bam you have an easy no sew costume. This I thought would be fun for my daughter to wear to school without having to dress up in a costume.

It doesn’t exactly feel like fall yet but I am ready for fall. That is why I need to start the fall crafts to at least pretend like fall is approaching. I live in Phoenix and we don’t really have a fall but I love all the fall pumpkin decorations. This diy pumpkin serving tray is made with dollar store materials and so easy to put together. It is perfect for serving food at a fall party or for Thanksgiving! You can also put fall scented candles on top or other fall decorations. It’s versatile and I just love how it turned out. The only thing I didn’t get at the dollar store is the paint. I used some copper paint I already had. Craft stores, Amazon, Target or Walmart have a variety of cheap shimmery paints. I love how the copper worked out because it blended well with the orange and I didn’t have to add too much paint.
Halloween is just around the corner! Okay, maybe down the street and around the corner but I am getting ready. We are getting into the fun time of year when all the holidays start coming up. October through December is probably my favorite time of year. I get to decorate for all the holidays and make fun treats. Plus it gets nice out instead of this 100 and something degree weather in Phoenix. That is why I am ready to start now in September to get ready for all the fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving etc. fun! These little diy ghost treat bags with printable tags are the cutest and ridiculously easy to make. These would be cute to give to kids in class or neighbors. Even on Halloween why not give out candy in little treat bags?! You can’t go wrong with the classic ghosts for Halloween.
It is starting to really feel like summer, which makes me want to celebrate! I got some little drink umbrellas and I was thinking a bigger version would be perfect for party decorations. Bigger is always better right?! I love either teeny tiny decorations or giant over sized things. I love these diy big drink umbrellas. I will be using them all summer long. You can put them in large drinks like a giant margarita or use them for centerpieces in a vase. Don’t they just make you want to be on the beach with a pina colada?
Continuing with all things marbled! I have been seeing many party places making marble balloons and I thought it would be fun to make them myself. The benefit of making them yourself is you can make them in any colors you want. I went with bright colors but pastels would be pretty and sparkly would look so good too! You can use different color balloons but the white is nice for making the colors really pop. I tried a few different ways of swirling so you can see what type of look you like and go with that. The one up front above reminds me of out space and would look really cool on black balloons.
I feel like my blog and life needs more balloons! You will be seeing more balloons from me coming up. They are just such an easy decoration and you can make so many cute things in balloon form. Like these diy Easter chick balloons. They were incredibly simple to put together and I just love how adorable they turned out. My daughter also absolutely loves balloons. She will keep a balloon as long as possible. I have to get rid of them when she is not around or else it makes her cry. Yes, she cries a lot and her new thing is to say I am breaking her heart. You know if I threw out the milk that has gone bad it breaks her heart. Getting rid of balloons definitely breaks her heart. I actually love how sensitive she is because it took me until I was 30 to be okay with crying in front of people. She cries and is over it in a minute then off to play a game. I have also gotten very better at holding back my laughter when she is crying over a ripped piece of paper. Anyways, no one is crying when these cute chick balloons are around. At least not until they have to go back to the “farm”. They are fun for spring and of course Easter decorations.
Yay mini party hats! Everything is cuter when it is mini and that is just a fact. Also how cute does Darth Vader look with a little party hat?! I am going to show you how to make mini party hats. They are easy to make for any party or just playing party. You can make these for birthdays to put on stuffed animals as decorations. Kids can wear them too. I made a tiny and medium sized template for the party hats for different sized stuffed animals plus the larger size can work for kids and even adults for a small party hat. The template makes these really easy to make. You can use any color paper or pattern to accommodate themes. You can also just print out the template and kids can color directly on it for a colorful party hat. We made these for a fun little tea party with the stuffed animals not really for any occasion but I will use them in the future for parties.
For every holiday I have to do something fun and goofy. Okay, usually multiple goofy projects because that is how I roll. These pool noodle cupid’s arrows are a blast! We have been throwing them around and using them for games for the last week. You can make them for a Valentine’s party game, just for fun with kids, and to hang up as a decoration at parties. I don’t know if it is just an Arizona thing but most people I know have pool noodles in the garage that are just hanging out and not being used this time of year. This is an excellent way to use them. You can also pick some up from the dollar store, Walmart or Target! One pool noodle makes two arrows. You can use them on their own to just throw around and try aim and hit someone. You can also try to get them through a hoop or a large heart like the one I made for a photo booth here: http://valeventgal.com/2015/02/valentines-day-kissing-booth/
Football parties are so much fun! Fire up the grill, put on the game and if your like me you have to add some decorations. I wanted to make some fun decorations for the food table but I didn’t want to go out and buy anything. I made this football party backdrop and table runner with what I had around the house. You might not have everything around the house but there are only a couple things you need to make your food table into a football table. There are a few changes you can make for different sports and this is fun for kids parties as well as watching the game. You can also make a backdrop jersey in the color of your team with the number of your favorite player.
