Christmas party season is starting and man am I excited! I love a good Christmas party and lots of Christmas party food. I don’t typically cook the food but I can help make it look all cute to serve. For fall I made these fun Pumpkin Serving Trays that were a hit. I thought it would be fun to make serving trays for Christmas parties too. I have been loving all of the snow globe ideas this season. I probably spent an hour on Pinterest looking at ideas. Although spending an hour on Pinterest is a typical day for me. This DIY Snow Globe Serving Tray can be made mostly with dollar store materials and a few from the craft store. I also had left over snow and trees to decorate my place. You can use these trays for home decorations as well, they’d be cute with a snow village on top! I may have made a wee bit of a mess with the snow but that just adds to the snowy look, right?!

I have been wanting to make a wreath for a while and I am really excited about this honeycomb wreath! I am just blown away by some of the wreaths I have seen from fellow bloggers. Some are super fancy and intricate. I love what I have been seeing and I had planned on really making something fancy. Then life happened and I didn’t have the time to dedicate to the fancy wreath in my mind. Don’t you just wish you could think something up and then it could magically appear? Someone needs to invent a machine that does that. Sounds simple enough ;). Anyways I didn’t have the time but still wanted to make my own wreath. I was browsing in the party section at Target as I tend to do because they have amazing things! Oh Target, what would I do without you. I came across this pink honeycomb and thought it would be cool for a wreath. I know pink doesn’t scream Christmas for some people but I also wanted to make something that I might be able to get away with keeping up past Christmas. Pink really is a year round thing! Since we are doing more of a modern Christmas with gold, pink, black and some bright colors this definitely fits in. You can use other colors as well red, green, blue, magenta or whatever tickles your fancy. Now lets get to business and make this honeycomb wreath!
In the last few years I have moved about 5 times. WIth all of the moving I tend to get rid of the nonessential items like holiday decorations. Although they really are essential with my daughter who is obsessed with Christmas! I realized we had no Christmas decorations nada, but I still don’t want to buy large decorations since we have limited space. Right now we are in an apartment and I don’t want it to be too cluttered. Well at least not more cluttered than it already is with all my craft supplies and Keira’s toys. With a 3 year old they always need running around space. I decided to make some small decorations. I didn’t want to go with traditional Christmas colors this year, I thought some pastel colors would go nicely with our home decor! Our decorations are sort of a winter wonderland with some pink thrown in. Since it’s just us girls there is always some pink thrown in!
I love love doing arts and crafts with Keira. However, I am not a fan of cleaning up after. It seems impossible for us to do arts and crafts without making a ginormous mess. Even with a huge tarp down we end up with paint and glitter on the carpet. As much as I love glitter it is banned from inside the house because glitter seems to multiple and stick to everything. We use the glitter pens and glitter glue so we still get our fill of glitter without the mess. I wanted to make some Halloween crafts/decorations that wouldn’t leave a huge mess. These would be great last minute crafts for Halloween day. I had all the materials but you could put it together with Target items and the Dollar Tree.
