Trick Or Treat Bag

| DIY, Halloween

Part of the fun of Halloween is who you spend it with. Kids love to get together for trick or treating together. My sisters neighborhood is where we have been trick or treating for the past few years. The cousins and their friends all like to get together for trick or treating. Now we are in a new place but I still want to make trick or treating fun for my daughter. We are going to invite some new friends along to trick or treat. For the occasion I made these fun little “trick or treat bag” and “trick or treat squad’ Halloween bags. They are filled with fun little goodies for kids on Halloween. You could also have these for adults at an adult party for party favors. For the kids I put glow sticks and glow bracelets, rings, stickers, erasers, and candy. There are a ton of creative little goodies you can put in these bags including Halloween socks, headbands, necklaces, temporary tattoos, anything glowing or neon, and candy. read more

Halloween Candy Wrappers

| Candy, Crafts, Halloween

Halloween is the time of candy. Everyone has a favorite and these is something for everyone. I made some cute and simple Halloween candy wrappers that work for any kind of candy bars big and small. Just adjust the size based on what type of candy you are wrapping. These are cute for kids and to have in the candy bowl to hand out on Halloween. I of course had to add some googley eyes because everything is cuter with google eyes. I had taken a little break from using them but I am back to using them all the time! Seriously, they are the cutest for all kinds of kids crafts and party projects. I think the little frankensteins are of the cutest of these ones but I love them all. I made mummies, frankensteins, and jack o lanterns. Cute, cute, and cute! My daughter absolutely loved them. I use her as a tester of projects to make sure things will be kid approved. They passed her test. Although, anything with candy passes her test. read more

Jack O Lantern Treat Bags

| Crafts, Gift bags, Halloween

Continuing with fun and easy Halloween treat bags I have these easy jack o lantern treat bags. These are simple to make and oh so cute! I made them in orange and gold. The black and gold work great for adult gifts and parties. The orange is cute for kids. The gold looked really good in person but didn’t photograph as well. I love simple ideas for holidays because nobody has time for anything too complicated. Plus, anyone and.I mean anyone can make these little jack o lantern treat bags. I must confess that I really do not like making actual jack o lanterns. Carving pumpkins is such a pain in the butt. Maybe I’m just bitter because mine always turn out uneven and just all around horrible. Now they make cute stencils for the pumpkins but even with those carving is just not my jam. However, making treat bags is and that is why I am sticking to what I know on the blog. read more

Monster Treat Bags

| Crafts, DIY, Halloween

I’m ready to get into the Halloween fun! Candy, monsters, and pumpkins oh my. Halloween is such a fun holiday. It’s in my top 2 for sure. This year I have a bunch of fun simple Halloween ideas and I can’t wait to share them with you all! These monster treat bags are such a simple idea for handing out candy, little treats for classes, and kids. Kids can help make them and I whipped them up in minutes. I just love the simple ideas that still turn out oh so cute. I haven’t made any creepy projects for Halloween this year but as my daughter gets older I plan to add in some of the fun and spooky side of Halloween. My mom started us early with the scary movies but I think with my daughter she would never sleep alone again if I showed her one of the scarier Halloween movies. I still can barely watch the Chuckie movies. So for now we will stick to the simple innocent side of Halloween. read more

Fun Treat Yourself Gift Basket

There are few things in life that I love more than chocolate. The women in my life are one of those things that I love even more than chocolate! Earlier this summer I moved across the country. I used to live just a few minutes from my parents and sister. My family has always been very close and it is hard to be apart from them. While I am enjoying the beach life in Florida and starting my own family, I do miss my loved ones! One great way to stay connected to loved ones is to send gifts. My sister is one of the most amazing women I know. She puts her family first and doesn’t do enough to treat herself. I wanted to give her a spa day experience at home. This gift was easy to put together with the 31 oz DOVE Chocolate PROMISES from Sam’s Club, a few do it yourself elements to give it a personal touch, and all wrapped together in a soft robe. I made cute printable tags for the overall gift and individual items in it. I also will show how easy it is to use the chocolate canister from DOVE Chocolate PROMISES to make a fun spa gift. However, you have to take out some of the chocolate and keep it for yourself to make a spa gift canister. It is a tough job but somebody has to do it! The variety of flavors in the DOVE Chocolate PROMISES includes Dark Chocolate, White & Dark Chocolate Swirl, and Sea Salt Caramel & Dark Chocolate. They are all so good. These two spa gift ideas are perfect for showing friends you appreciate them. My sister can have a whole fun and relaxing day with all of these goodies. Gifts as a surprise are always nice and who wouldn’t love being sent this fun gift or having it hand delivered to their doorstep. read more

Hover over the above image to see the new J&J Baby Designer Wrap exclusively at Target and purchase products for baby! How cool is that?! What a time to be alive with the magic of the internet.

My friend Jessica’s baby shower is coming up and we are planning a beach themed baby shower! Since we live close to the beach every baby is going to be a beach baby! Kids really love the ocean and the beach. Not to mention mama loves the beach. It’s important to give a gift that fits with the mom’s interests. She said she can’t wait to bring the baby to the beach with her! I remember when my daughter was a baby how fun it was to have beach days and how much she loved the water. I can’t wait for Jessica to have that experience with her first baby! After the beach a nice long bath is necessary. She needs the best products to keep baby safe and clean! It also helps to have bath products that make you feel like you are still at the beach with cute ocean designs. Beach themed bathrooms are the cutest, water and the beach are a match made in heaven. With a beach baby shower I needed to make a beach themed gift. I made this adorable beach bucket gift basket for her. The new stylish J&J Baby Design Wrap products worked perfect in the gift basket with their modern ocean animals design. I ¬†was inspired to make little turtle and octopus wash cloths to match with the baby bath products. They are really easy to make and the cutest! I got the fun new J&J Baby Designer Wrap products found exclusively at Target. Any excuse to go to Target is fine with me. When I bought them the lady at check out said someone else had just bought the Johnson’s Baby Wash Honey Apple kind. Next time I will have to get that scent, it sounds amazing! The ones I got with the ocean animal designs were perfect for a beach themed gift basket. It was easy to make and I know the new mom will love this gift. I just adore cute and easy themed, personal gifts. It also works perfectly for boys, girls, or if the mom is waiting to find out the sex of the baby! I personally couldn’t wait, I had to know. However, I love the idea of waiting for that surprise moment of finding out once the baby is born. Maybe for the next one. read more

DIY Mermaid Pumpkin

| Crafts, DIY, Halloween

Mermaid Pumpkin DIY

I’ve seen pretty sparkly pumpkins in recent years that look so fun for Halloween. I wish when I was a kid we had Pinterest to find blogs with super cool ideas for holidays. Luckily raising my daughter I can find fun inspiration and lots of supplies at the craft store. Oh what a time to be alive! There might be craziness in the world but the crafting has never been better. I was wanting sparkle without using glitter so I used glitter spray paint and it was so fun to use! I may have gotten a little extra sparkle on our patio, whoopsie, I hope my fianc√© likes the glitter porch. I’ve been on a mermaid kick since the summer and I wanted to bring it into the fall. Mermaids don’t need to stay in the summer and since we live near the ocean why not have a mermaid themed pumpkin. I love how pretty and sparkly this diy mermaid pumpkin is, I think it looked even better in person. It’s hard to capture in pictures just how sparkly it looks. read more

DIY Trolls Easy Costume

I absolutely love the Trolls movie! It’s adorable and my daughter loves it. I made her this cute little trolls costume to wear for fun but it would be perfect for Halloween. I made this easy no sew tulle skirt and organza ribbon headband. One year I ordered my daughter a costume on Etsy, it was adorable but I realized the tulle skirt is something so easy to just make myself for the next time. Just put the skirt over a solid blue dress or blue shirt and pink or blue shorts. This diy trolls costume is so easy really anyone can make it. If I can make it anyone can. read more

DIY Rainbow Poop Emoji Costume

| DIY, Halloween

My daughter has been obsessed with the poop emoji since she discovered it! She is only 6 but she loves texting family with emojis on my phone. She has an emoji backpack and loves all the emojis. She loves the rainbow poop emoji even more than the poop emoji. I thought it would make a cute costume. I don’t know how to sew so I am not making any fancy costumes for her. I also don’t want to put a ton of effort into something she will wear a couple times. This costume is prefect for an emoji lover and incredibly easy to put together. read more
