I have become more and more fond of the dollar store over my crafting years. It is amazing how many projects I have been able to find all of the supplies for at the dollar store. That is the closest place to me that has crafty supplies. Then my next stop is usually Walmart. To get to a full on craft store I have a bit to drive so I usually save that for special supplies. Luckily the dollar store has me covered and I have been stopping there on the daily for Christmas stuff. Just kidding….kind of. I made these adorable fairy garden ornaments all from a few dollar store supplies. They were really, really easy to make and have such a pretty whimsical feel. I’ve seen all kinds of fairy gardens but never in ornament form. It was time for a fairy garden ornament!
This is one of those Christmas projects I thought of last minute, winged it, and they turned out super cute! Sometimes I plan and plan, then the project turns out like crap. Other times I get in the zone, improvise, and something good comes out of it. I was having a Christmas Day of crafting, Christmas music, pjs, and eating Christmas cookies with my daughter. We came up with these fun sparkly Christmas party food toppers made out of pipe cleaners. We made reindeer, Christmas trees, and snowflakes oh my. I’m going to show how to make the little snowflakes. The trees are super easy and the reindeers are the hardest but oh so cute. All in all it is an easy shiny and fun craft. Really great for making with kids. So I have pictures for the snowflakes, the trees you can figure out from the instructions but the reindeer I made a video and I just need to figure out how to upload that to give you the whole tutorial of how to make them. Overall they are all easy peasy to make!
If you’ve visited my blog you know I am all about easy projects! Easy crafts, easy party ideas, easy desserts, and easy foods. That’s just how I roll and now it is how I reindeer roll. I made these easy reindeer rolls for a simple party food for a crowd. They are super cute and seriously the easiest to make. Okay, I didn’t actually make anything I more decorated some store bought rolls. This time of year is filled with holiday parties and there isn’t always time to make all the food and do all of the things. Make it easy on yourself and still get something cute. You can make home made rolls or use store bought.
Here in sunny Florida we don’t get any snow. That is why I am extra excited for these snowman snack cups! My snow comes in marshmallow form and decorations. For day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas I made these adorable little snowman cups you can use them for drinks or snacks. They are really simple to make and turned out just adorable. They would be cute for a kids party or kids class treats. Adults would love them too! My daughter kind of helped to make them. Ok she mostly listened to Christmas music, chatted with me, and ate marshmallows while I made them but it was fun quality time. We had a quality time Christmas Day and it was the best! Crafts, snacks, Christmas music, a Christmas parade, night time hot chocolate, and Christmas lights. We had a Christmas binge and it was the best time ever!
Merry Christmas all! One of my favorite Christmas traditions is watching my favorite Christmas movies. Today I will be showing you some fun Christmas movie quote printables for a fun Christmas movie night. I picked a couple of my favorites because I couldn’t pick just one. I did narrow it down to my top three! The top three are…drum roll….. Elf, Christmas Vacation, and Home Alone. These are my favorite Christmas movies of all time. I also like to throw in some Hallmark Christmas movies to watch! They are so incredibly cheesy it is amazing. Nothing like a warm and fuzzy Christmas movie. My favorite Christmas movies I love because they make me laugh for completely different reasons. The childlike fun of Elf on one end and the funny family dynamics of Christmas Vacation. I’ve already watched Elf now on to the next one.

I’m starting off with a simple DIY Unicorn Ornament. These ornaments turned out so cute and were incredibly easy to make.

Santa Claus is coming to town and that means he needs some milk and chocolate! This is the season to make gifts for family and friends. It is also a great time to get together with friends to make crafts and put together gifts for others while listen to Christmas music! I may not be a cookie maker but I sure can whip up some chocolate milk. To make the chocolate milk even more festive just add a little “Holiday Magic” mix, which includes M&M’S® and mini marshmallows. It really is a magic mix because of how tasty it is with M&M’S® Brand Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies, M&M’S® White Peppermint, and the small marshmallows. For the mix I used Ball® 4 oz Mini Jars. I’m surprised I had any left to give to friends after tasting the mix a few times. I kept going back for more. However this time of year is truly about spending time with friends and giving. For every purchase of M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies (9.4 oz or larger) at Walmart between 11/01/2017 and 12/25/2017, Mars Chocolate Inc.® will donate $5.00 to Feeding America® on behalf of its national network of food banks to secure and deliver one (1) half gallon of milk or more based on local markets. Thanksgiving is the time to eat as much as your heart desires. Also to be thankful for all that food, friends, and family. My eyes are often bigger than my stomach and at a certain point I am just stuffed and can’t eat any more. Luckily for me there are always leftovers. My mom cooks enough to send everyone home with leftovers and then I can just live off of that meal for a week. It is that good I could eat it all week.I made these cute little turkey Thanksgiving leftovers bags. You can put food in plastic bags in these paper bags to take to go or small Tupperware. The printable tag says “I’m Stuffed…With Leftovers!”
I love Thanksgiving and all of the food. I don’t usually eat a ton of turkey but I love stuffing, mashed potatoes, and my favorite food mom’s meatballs. The meatballs aren’t a Thanksgiving thing they are a family recipe that my grandmother invented and hopefully one day I will learn how to master them. The whole meal is amazing and I am getting my fat pants ready. This is why I should have kept my maternity pants, those things were the best with the stretchy waist! I may have worn them for two years after my daughter was born because all jeans should have stretchy waists. Anyways I love all the foods but after the food I have to save room for some of all the pies. This year we will have apple, pumpkin, and pecan pie! Plus, chocolate chip pumpkin bars and chocolate cake. We have a lot of talented bakers in the family. I will be working on the pumpkin and pecan pie. I’ve only made these a few times but they are my favorites. Did you know there is a separate part of the stomach for dessert? That’s just a fact! There’s always room for pie. Pie is so amazing it deserves its own bar and printable so I had to make some pie bar printable. They look like pumpkin pies and turned out adorable. I also had to make some fun and silly signs. They say “Dibs On The Apple” “I’m Stuffed….Oooh Pie!” and “You Had Me At Pie”. These printables are so easy to put together last minute to make your pie serving area into a pie bar.
I’m sure the elves are already busy making toys! Do they make them year round? Well this has to be their busiest time of year and they deserve some sweet elf snacks. Plus, your friends and family also deserve elf snacks. I made these simple holiday treats and gift jar that make the perfect easy food gift. I used mini marshmallows dipped in chocolate to make small enough treats for an elf. Plus, you can’t feel guilty about eating sweets when they are in tiny bites like this. That is just a fact! I was originally going to make little sugar cookies for elf snacks but it was hard to get good cookies that were tiny enough for elves. These chocolate covered mini marshmallows are waaaayyy easier to make than cookies and the perfect little treats. I made elf printables for the jar you can use some or all of them on a jar of elf snacks. What you need for the jars: mason jars green paint(optional) tape scissors ELF PRINTABLES and white card stock paper For the elf marshmallow snacks: mini marshmallows melting candy wafers or candy melts in red, green, or white(2 colors are good for the sizzling on top) sprinkles in any holiday colors
