I am sitting here surrounded by boxes getting ready to move. Moving is an exciting and stressful time. I am not an organized person by nature. Since I love crafting I tend to collect things over time and hoard a bit. You never know when you will need some extra toilet paper rolls. It is the time for me to clear all of that out. Soon we will be moving and then comes the celebrations! Instead of really focusing on the moving part I am all ready to plan a party once we are all moved! I made up these cute little housewarming party printables. You will definitely need some fun decorations at your housewarming party and these printables are an easy way to make your house cute and decorated for a housewarming party. Housewarming parties don’t have to be a lot of fuss, just a simple get together with friends.
Continuing with my housewarming fun! First I made little house gift boxes to hand out at housewarming parties or to give to someone who has just moved into a new home. Today I have these cute little gift tags that look like Welcome mats. Ones that say welcome to your new home and to keep you warm in your new home. Kids and adults both need new things for their home. We are in the process of moving across the country and I want to get a little gift for my daughter to get her excited about the move. Usually adults get presents when they get a new home. I think it is a cute idea to get parent’s and kids matching gifts when they move.
Housewarming parties are a great time to bring all your family and friends together to celebrate your new home. Whether you are just doing a small gather of family or inviting a large group of people you want to keep them entertained. I think every party could use a game or two. This isn’t an occasion to have complicated games keep it easy and use what you have around the house or from the move. I came up with some fun housewarming party games that use household items to make it easy.
Here are the housewarming party game ideas:
Right now I am in the process of moving and packing is one of my least favorite things. Instead on focusing on the pile of boxes that surround me in true procrastinator style I am thinking of all the fun we will have with our housewarming party! I also can never think of housewarming gifts to give. These free printable housewarming gift boxes are perfect for little gifts such as gift cards. They look like tiny little houses too! That’s one of the best gifts to give to new home owners gift cards to somewhere for them to start decorating their home. These little boxes are also perfect for a house warming party for tiny favors. They can fit cupcakes, little wine bottles, candy, healthy snack mixes or tiny plants.
Lucky Charms are magically delicious and magically cute! I love this tasty cereal. I decided to use it for a fun little craft too. My daughter and I made little Lucky Charms edible charm bracelets. She loved it. You can eat and craft at the same time. She loves crafts and lately she loves jewelry. In the morning when she gets ready she says it takes a while to get her style. She has to figure out what bracelets and necklaces work with her style for the day. It’s cute that she has a better style than I do. I rarely accessorize, most days it’s yoga pants for me and not a lot of jewelry goes with yoga pants. I do love the girly things and jewelry too. Every once in a while it is nice to take off the mom uniform(yoga pants), get dressed up, and add some jewelry. In the mean time I will settle for edible bracelet crafting!
Ain’t no party like a Lucky Charms Party! Use these fun free Lucky Charms party printables to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day or just your love for Lucky Charms! You could have a cereal bar party and use these fun decorations. They would look cute with rainbow color decorations and balloons. I am not a huge fan of all green for St. Patrick’s Day so I have to go the rainbow route. I absolutely love rainbow everything! You could put these circle decorations on straws, spoons, or as treat toppers. Make cupcakes and sprinkle some cereal on top to make them extra fun!
I have a lot of Lucky Charms in my life. We don’t do a whole lot for St. Patrick’s Day. There are so many holidays to celebrate and you can’t go all out for them all. These little treat bags are an easy way to show someone you care for St. Patrick’s Day. You can also have them with a little milk to make a whole fun cereal treat. I love Lucky Charms, they are one of my favorite cereals. As a kid I may have just picked out the marshmallows to eat but that’s part of the fun. Who doesn’t love those tiny marshmallows?! My favorite were always the rainbows and hearts. I’m not going to lie, some of them I didn’t even know what it was. The shooting stars I thought were little presents. Get these free printable lucky charm treat bag toppers and add them to a little bag of lucky charms for a simple treat.
Lucky Charms they are one of my favorite cereals from childhood. Also as an adult I sometimes like to indulge in my childhood favorites. These little lucky charms marshmallow pops are such a tasty treat. It’s tiny marshmallows on top of marshmallows, what?! You get a fun crunch to go with the soft marshmallows. I used green candy melts to give it a bit of St. Patrick’s Day fun. They would also look cute with just white so the Lucky Charms pop, rainbow color candy melts, or blue. These are fun to make with kids because they can help and snack along the way! I have a lot of Lucky Charms fun planned for the week! Come back for more ideas and free printables for Lucky Charm week. These Lucky Charm marshmallow pops are magically delicious!
I would say my least favorite part of throwing parties is the clean up! More like my least favorite party of life is cleaning. I’m not afraid to say it, I don’t like cleaning, but it is a necessary evil. When you throw a party sadly after all the fun you have to clean up the mess. Since I am a blogger that focuses heavily on parties I know a thing or two about making glittery confetti messes. I am creating things on a daily basis and with that comes tiny pretty messes. Since making messes comes more naturally to me than cleaning them up I have come up with some shortcuts and ways to make the cleaning party a bit easier. I also have thrown enough parties to figure out what does and doesn’t work with the clean up. You can see my messes above, that top picture sure has a lot of dirt haha. In Arizona we get these lovely dust storms that bring massive amounts of dust all around, I decided that dust needed some confetti on top. My bottom more Instagram friendly mess picture I was playing around with confetti while wearing my unicorn slippers! Grown women need unicorn slippers too! I never outgrew my love for fairies, unicorns, and mermaids. Luckily I had a daughter so I can still play with all those silly fun things. Those are just a few of my many party messes that I have made and had to clean up!
Balloons and streamers are an easy way to decorate any party. You can use them in different colors for different themes. They also are easy to use for some simple party games. The best part is they can be decorations and games all in one! I love coming up with party games. My daughter and I use some of them just to play when we have nothing else to do. You can never have too many ideas for games or activities. Especially the easy kind because who has time to have elaborate games. I know I don’t have the patients and my daughter certainly doesn’t have the patience. These games can really work for any type of kids party theme! They are all cheap and easy just the way I like my party games.
