Back To School Chocolate Bars

| Candy, DIY, kids craft

Back to school is a fun time for kids and parents. I think by the end of summer everyone is ready for back to school! What better way to celebrate than with some chocolate. Kids can practice writing letters on chocolates or these are fun to send in school lunches for the first week of school. Nothing complicated to make since there are enough things to do to get ready for school. My daughter is starting first grade and the school supply list is growing! My daughter is excited for this year because it is real grown up kid learning. These chocolate bars are kind of like little chalk boards to write letters. If kids are making them they can write the letters on with a paint brush or with chocolate bottles. It could get messy but it’s also really fun! Plus, every occasion needs chocolate, that is just a fact. Momma needs some chocolate during back to school time that is for sure! Make these back to school chocolate bars for a fun back to school activity with kids! read more

Peppa Pig Party Ideas and Printables

My niece loves the show Peppa Pig. She has probably watched every episode multiple times. I think it is a cute show. Any kids show that you have to watch a million times gets old after some time but it’s a silly cute show. My daughter was obsessed with Team Umizoomi so I could happily go the rest of my life without seeing that show again. Without a doubt when my niece was turning 4 she wanted to have a Peppa party. I made some fun little printable for decorations at her party. I also made desserts and helped decorate. Since she was having her party at a play place we didn’t do anything over the top just a few simple decorations. Hopefully these ideas will give you all some easy to put together inspiration for a Peppa Pig inspired party! read more

DIY Seashell Wall Hanging

DIY Shell Wall Hanging

I recently moved close to the beach. For me that comes with the perk of being able to collect shells and use them for crafts. I found a ton of really pretty shells to turn into this pretty diy seashell wall hanging. I also worked with materials I had instead of getting anything from the craft store. If you are not close to a beach you can buy shells from the craft store or Amazon. They can also work outside for a shell wind chime. The shells make a pretty light sound when they touch. I want to bring some of the beach vibes inside our house. Now that I have a house I will probably do a few little easy home projects but I’m still sticking mostly to party do it yourself projects. Lets get started on this seashell wall hanging! read more

BBQ Party Printables

Who doesn’t love a BBQ with some tasty hamburgers and hot dogs?! I know I could go for some BBQ food right about now! Since it is the season to light up the grill I made some cute and easy BBQ party printable to go with the occasion. Nothing too fancy just hot dogs and hamburgers. That’s kind of the extent of what I can make on the grill but they are always popular with a crowd. When I was a kid I could have lived off of hot dogs. Maybe not the best choice for every day but definitely a winner for special occasions! The toppers pictured above are cute to put on a toothpick then put into the top of the hot dogs and hamburgers. You can also top desserts or sides such as cheese with the toppers. Cut them out, tape the back to a toothpick, put into food and you are good to go! read more

Hot Dog Balloons

| Balloons, DIY

I love balloons and easy do it yourself party decorations. These hot dog balloons fit perfectly into those categories. Summer is the time for barbecue celebrations in most parts of the country. I lived in Phoenix until recently and summer was not the best for outdoors. Fortunately we had a pool to cool off in and because of that we still got some outdoor barbecue time. Now I’m living close to the beach and I’m ready for some outdoor bbq time. So lets put another shrimp on the barbie or hot dog and get ready to celebrate! These balloons are super cute to use for table centerpieces or taped to the wall for a photo backdrop. People can also hold them to pose with a giant hot dog. Fun for kids and adults alike! Let’s get this party started shall we?! read more

Cars Printable Snack Boxes

| Birthday Party, DIY, Printables

Cars is such a cute movie and every movie needs some snacks! These printable snack boxes are adorable for a movie night. You can put popcorn and chips in them. You could also add some fruits and veggies in plastic bags. It’s an easy do it yourself for parties or movie nights inspired by the cars movies. I have seen almost all the kids movies that have come out in the last couple years. I’ve only seen a couple adult movies because I’m usually with my daughter and asleep by 9. I have to say I think some of the kids movies are really good. The Cars movies are really cute and definitely a crowd pleaser. We do a lot of movie nights in because it’s just way easier and kids don’t always have the attention span for movies out of the house. Plus, it’s cheaper! I like to make theme nights and movie nights extra fun. We pile pillows and blankets on the floor in the living room to watch movies. Cars is the perfect movie for a themed movie night. Have mini chocolate donut tires, fuel up on drinks, and mini car races for an activity. read more

Dollar Store Floating Tray

| Uncategorized

I’m going to keep this post short and sweet just like the tutorial for the post. I made this floating tray with dollar store and dollar section materials. I have to tell you this isn’t 100% an original idea because I saw something similar. However, this is a much easier way to make it. I saw a tray that was made with pool floats and it included a lot of cutting and gluing to make the finished product. I don’t know about you but when I’m hanging by the pool I want to be lazy and relax. That is why I made this simple dollar store floating tray. It includes just a simple round tray and round float. If you cant find the round float at the dollar store check the grocery store for just a simple small float. read more
