Balloons are amazing! There is so much you can do with balloons. Lately I have been seeing hula hoops with balloons for a dessert table backdrop. I also have seen balloon centerpieces! I thought it looked so cute and had to make one for my daughters birthday. I actually made two because that’s just twice as fun! It was super easy to make and anyone can make a balloon centerpiece for their party. It’s also super cheap for a big effect and that’s what party do it yourself projects are all about. I added some colorful paper palm fronds that matched the colors of the party theme. You could also add some fake flowers to give it a delicate look. Lets get this party started!
This year my daughter knew right away what her party theme would be. She has been obsessed with Moana lately and wanted to have a Moana party. It’s actually a really good movie, one of the best kids movies I have seen in a while. I couldn’t find a lot of actually Moana decorations but this time of year the party store is filled with colorful, tropical fun so I snatched up all of those fun decorations! I love how everything turned out and my daughter really loved it. Of course I had to DIY a few things but most of it was simple to put together. I hope I can give you some inspiration and ideas to make a fun Moana party! Let’s get this party started!
I’m going to keep this post short and sweet because I’m moving this week and tired. Pardon any grammar mistakes. I also started this project one way and ended it another so I didn’t get pictures of the process for what worked.Originally I was going to use tissue paper for the firework part but it didn’t quite stay on right. In the end I used glitter glue to draw on little fireworks and I love how easy it was.
What you need to make them:

Who doesn’t love fireworks! Ok dogs usually don’t and sometimes firework shows are just too crowded. However, once those beautiful shining fireworks start it is all worth it. That is one of the best parts of the Fourth of July and I wanted to make fireworks fun for kids too. Not with anything flammable because kids and fire do not mix! I’m talking about the squishy fun tissue paper kind. Kids can throw them all around and make their own firework show. They are also super cute for a decoration at parties! So lets bring on the summer and the Fourth of July with some fun fireworks!

Summertime just makes me want to relax by the pool and not worry about a thing. In stores I keep seeing outfits and activities for summer, which means it is time to stock up on summer essentials! I am always one of the first people to get cute colorful towels, sunglasses, and flip flops. In Phoenix we start getting ready for summer early because it feels like summer in March. My latest summer obsession is those adorable drink pool floats that look like swans and flamingos. How great is it that now you can have your Coca-Cola™ or Diet Coke® floating along with you in the pool to cool you off in the heat of summer! I thought why keep all of the summer fun to myself? This year I am spreading some summer fun with the friends I can’t wait to share the summer with by giving them a beach towel gift bag. Since summer is all about relaxing I didn’t want to make anything difficult but I wanted to think of a fun way to give a simple summer gift. I had the idea to make a beach towel into a gift basket. It was easier than I expected and works perfect for summer. With a few simple steps you will have an easy summer gift on the go and be at the pool before you know it!
Fourth Of July is coming up. Ok it’s a month away but it’s the next big holiday to decorate for so bring it on. I also had to come up with a tasty treat for the occasion. I love how cute these chocolate covered Fourth of July pretzels turned out! Dip anything in colorful chocolate and it will turn out amazing. That’s just a fact. Anyone can make these cute little flags for a treat on the Fourth of July. This week I am moving across the country to be with my fiance who is in the military and I am feeling the need to spread some patriotic love. I typically do that in craft or dessert form. I’m also going to keep this short and sweet because I need some sleep before the move.
It is time to get this ice cream party started! Of course you need some fun ice cream party printables with sprinkles and cherries on top. I thought pink and yellow would make cute bright summer colors for a fun party. You can add fun tissue paper tassels and decorations to go with these cute printables. I have banners and toppers oh my! I am on a printable making kick for summer celebrations. If you like summer entertaining you have come to the right spot. I have ice cream, mermaids, flamingos, and more fun ideas to come so keep an eye out. Plus, if you are registered for my newsletter you get access to a ton of free party printables starting with the summer ones going all year round. I have some other fun ideas for the summer with boredom busters. I will hopefully have an announcement for that coming soon.
Who else is ready for an ice cream party? I love ice cream, not as much as my daughter who would have it for every meal but I do love it. I also think it makes for a cute party theme. Balloons work great for ice cream and ice cream decorations are adorable! I also think at ice cream parties you need some other sweet treat besides ice cream. That is why I made these adorable little ice cream candy treat cups. Fill them with colorful candy. It could be Sixlets like I did or other fun colored candy. I made printable cones. They are really tiny and cute for making individual candy portions. Put the candy in cellophane bags and top with red tissue paper for a cherry or even better red craft pom pom balls. I used tissue paper because that’s what I had.
Summer is the perfect time for fruit and for ice cream. Well this doesn’t include a lot of actually fruit more like ice cream that looks like fruit. Does fruit flavor ice cream count as fruit? I’d say it does! I made cute little fruit ice cream cones that look like watermelons and pineapples. Two of my favorite cute fruits! Confession I didn’t have a ton of ice cream because everyone in my family ate the ice cream before I could use it. Don’t they know prop ice cream when they see it! They didn’t turn out as full as I would like because of the lack of ice cream but you get the idea.
Every party needs some games and a flamingo party is no exception! I made this fun spin on the class pin the tail on the donkey game. This is pin the tail feather on the flamingo. It’s a fun game for any flamingo, summer or tropical game. This game comes in a printable file just get the print printed out at a printing place in an engineering print size or large print size. That’s a big size for everyone to play and have fun! Play this flamingo party game that your guests will love!
