I have become more and more fond of the dollar store over my crafting years. It is amazing how many projects I have been able to find all of the supplies for at the dollar store. That is the closest place to me that has crafty supplies. Then my next stop is usually Walmart. To get to a full on craft store I have a bit to drive so I usually save that for special supplies. Luckily the dollar store has me covered and I have been stopping there on the daily for Christmas stuff. Just kidding….kind of. I made these adorable fairy garden ornaments all from a few dollar store supplies. They were really, really easy to make and have such a pretty whimsical feel. I’ve seen all kinds of fairy gardens but never in ornament form. It was time for a fairy garden ornament!

You can make home made rolls or use store bought.
Here in sunny Florida we don’t get any snow. That is why I am extra excited for these snowman snack cups! My snow comes in marshmallow form and decorations. For day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas I made these adorable little snowman cups you can use them for drinks or snacks. They are really simple to make and turned out just adorable. They would be cute for a kids party or kids class treats. Adults would love them too! My daughter kind of helped to make them. Ok she mostly listened to Christmas music, chatted with me, and ate marshmallows while I made them but it was fun quality time. We had a quality time Christmas Day and it was the best! Crafts, snacks, Christmas music, a Christmas parade, night time hot chocolate, and Christmas lights. We had a Christmas binge and it was the best time ever!

I may not be a cookie maker but I sure can whip up some chocolate milk. To make the chocolate milk even more festive just add a little “Holiday Magic” mix, which includes M&M’S® and mini marshmallows. It really is a magic mix because of how tasty it is with M&M’S® Brand Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies, M&M’S® White Peppermint, and the small marshmallows. For the mix I used Ball® 4 oz Mini Jars. I’m surprised I had any left to give to friends after tasting the mix a few times. I kept going back for more. However this time of year is truly about spending time with friends and giving. Are you all ready for Christmas? Yes, I know it’s not even Halloween or Thanksgiving but Christmas is my favorite craft time of year. The best thing about these DIY Unicorn Ornaments is that you can hang these up year round. Unicorns are cute for kids rooms and really any occasion. I might have to hang some of these cuties in my office. It has kind of a unicorn vibe anyways. I used a few simple materials from Dollar Tree to get this cute look with faux flowers, gems, and gold pipe cleaners to make a sparkly cute unicorn ornament. Anyone can make these and they are cute for kids to help out with the stick on gems and drawing the face. Although, leave the hot gluing up to the professionals.

Do you ever stop and think wow it’s already Friday? Sometime time just flies by because of our busy schedule. Often times I get caught up in the busy day to day schedule and I put off taking care of myself. I say tomorrow I will do something for myself and then tomorrow I will say the same thing. I’ve gotten to the point where I realize sometimes I have to put myself first and practice self care on the go. Life isn’t going to slow down with an active kid and working from home. It would be nice to be able to freeze time to just take a me day but until I come across time freezing powers I will have to make time freeze myself. Even if you are always on the go you can find little ways and little bits of time to take care of yourself that can make a big difference. Not only will I give you some easy ideas for self care, I made some PRINTABLES CLICK HERE that you can add right to a bottle of Honest Tea® or tape to the back of Lorissa’s Kitchen Premium Protein Snacks. It adds an easy way to plan out your self care and goals. Plus, simple motivational quotes because we could all use those little words of encouragement. The right drinks and snacks are an essential part of self care. Honest Tea® and Lorissa’s Kitchen Premium Protein Snacks are the perfect on the go snacks. I love Honest Tea’s Honey Green Tea and Lorissa’s Kitchen Korean Barbeque Beef. Yum, now I’m getting hungry. I always have a cooler worth of snacks and drinks packed for my daughter taking her to activities. Sometimes I forget to bring anything at all for myself and I wonder why I am so low on energy. Seriously ladies, we have to take care of ourselves too!

As the weather gets nicer out my fiance and I have been dying to get outdoors to explore. We live not too far from fun places to camp and explore. We decided to plan a trip to go see some caves that are a couple hours away. Getting outdoors and in nature is amazing for a change of scene. I sometimes need to get unplugged and just explore the outdoors. With busy schedules and juggling mom life, I needed a break! Luckily, my fiance loves going on adventures and exploring nature. It was the perfect way to celebrate organic month in September with Honest Tea® and Simple Truth® Beef Jerky to fuel us on our adventure. Honest Tea is authentically a step above, every day. They stand for being authentic and genuine, which you really feel in their tea brewed with fresh ingredients. It is such a refreshing beverage, perfect for on the go and our camping adventures. My fiance loves organic, fair trade products and tea is his favorite. He starts the day with iced tea since he is not a coffee drinker. Having Honest Tea and Simple Truth Beef Jerky for our adventure made him one happy camper, literally!
This is my end of summer blog celebration with some tropical fun! I made some easy diy paper palm fronds for my daughters party and I wanted to show just how easy they are to make. You can’t have a tropical party without some palm fronds. You could decorate a whole party with a bunch of these on banners, table decor, and with balloons. Add some pineapples too and you are good to go. They can be in any colors to matching party colors. I only made one size but make them in a variety of sizes to give it more dimension as well. I know fall is coming but who doesn’t want to stay warm and tropical with some tropical celebrations. They are probably needed more in winter. I live by the beach so tropical parties are always an option!
Summer is coming to an end and I thought I would go out with a bang! A bang of colorful fruit party ideas. I am ready for fun but I live by the beach and will definitely be continuing the tropical vibes all year! I made these simple pineapple party favors or treat cups perfect for a fruity or tropical party theme! These are fun for all kinds of parties for kids and adults. Pineapples are my favorite summer fruit to eat and they are just so cute for decorations too. I painted pineapples before for cute decorations, made pineapple cupcakes, and now pineapple party favors! I’m a one stop pineapple party idea place here. You can make these pineapple cups for party favors or to hold candy or other foods. Guests can unwrap them for a surprise food, that would be fun!
Some bouquets are sweeter than others. This sweet diy cinnamon roll bouquet is easy to make and a fun gift to give friends. You can make homemade cinnamon rolls or a package. I went the easy route with a tube of rolls. Add colorful sprinkles to brighten them up more and put them on bamboo skewers to make a bouquet. I love how this bouquet turned out and seriously who doesn’t prefer a bouquet that you can eat?! Edible bouquets are becoming more and more popular because birthdays are a time to splurge on your favorite treats. Cinnamon rolls also go great with coffee so making it in a coffee mug is a perfect fit. I just used a large plain white mug with colorful tissue paper. You could also decorate a mug to give as part of the gift or get one with a funny saying on it. Lets get these cinnamon rolls started!
