I’m getting my daughter ready for school and something I often struggle with is organizing school supplies. She’s starting first grade and I have a cute little table for her to work at for fun or school assignments. The only problem is there is not a lot of space on the table to put supplies. That is why I decided to make a cute diy hanging school supplies organizer. The best thing about it is that I made it from a cereal box and toilet paper rolls. I just love when I can find things around the house to make stuff out of, don’t you?! Just add some washi tape and anything can look cute! It hangs easily on the wall and saves space! Lets get this crafting started!

Back to school is a fun time for kids and parents. I think by the end of summer everyone is ready for back to school! What better way to celebrate than with some chocolate. Kids can practice writing letters on chocolates or these are fun to send in school lunches for the first week of school. Nothing complicated to make since there are enough things to do to get ready for school. My daughter is starting first grade and the school supply list is growing! My daughter is excited for this year because it is real grown up kid learning. These chocolate bars are kind of like little chalk boards to write letters. If kids are making them they can write the letters on with a paint brush or with chocolate bottles. It could get messy but it’s also really fun! Plus, every occasion needs chocolate, that is just a fact. Momma needs some chocolate during back to school time that is for sure! Make these back to school chocolate bars for a fun back to school activity with kids!
After going to the beach don’t you just wish you could take the beach and that feeling home! Well you can in a way with an easy beach memory jar. These are really cute also for party centerpieces. Plus so simple to make! You can use larger vases for a centerpiece. This can be a simple house decoration as well. If you have beach pictures of kids or family this is cute for a photo display. This one I made with shells and sand I collected from the beach. I want to bring as much of the beach as I can home with me!
I recently moved close to the beach. For me that comes with the perk of being able to collect shells and use them for crafts. I found a ton of really pretty shells to turn into this pretty diy seashell wall hanging. I also worked with materials I had instead of getting anything from the craft store. If you are not close to a beach you can buy shells from the craft store or Amazon. They can also work outside for a shell wind chime. The shells make a pretty light sound when they touch. I want to bring some of the beach vibes inside our house. Now that I have a house I will probably do a few little easy home projects but I’m still sticking mostly to party do it yourself projects. Lets get started on this seashell wall hanging!
I love balloons and easy do it yourself party decorations. These hot dog balloons fit perfectly into those categories. Summer is the time for barbecue celebrations in most parts of the country. I lived in Phoenix until recently and summer was not the best for outdoors. Fortunately we had a pool to cool off in and because of that we still got some outdoor barbecue time. Now I’m living close to the beach and I’m ready for some outdoor bbq time. So lets put another shrimp on the barbie or hot dog and get ready to celebrate! These balloons are super cute to use for table centerpieces or taped to the wall for a photo backdrop. People can also hold them to pose with a giant hot dog. Fun for kids and adults alike! Let’s get this party started shall we?!
The most recent Cars movie just came out and I am so excited to see it! Yes, I get excited about kids movies, especially new ones. I need a break from Moana on repeat every day! I made some fun party printables inspired by the cute characters. They are adorable for a Cars themed party. I have everything from banners, toppers, party signs, and these cute snack boxes. You can get creative with how you use the party printable for decorations.
What you need to assemble them:
Cars is such a cute movie and every movie needs some snacks! These printable snack boxes are adorable for a movie night. You can put popcorn and chips in them. You could also add some fruits and veggies in plastic bags. It’s an easy do it yourself for parties or movie nights inspired by the cars movies. I have seen almost all the kids movies that have come out in the last couple years. I’ve only seen a couple adult movies because I’m usually with my daughter and asleep by 9. I have to say I think some of the kids movies are really good. The Cars movies are really cute and definitely a crowd pleaser. We do a lot of movie nights in because it’s just way easier and kids don’t always have the attention span for movies out of the house. Plus, it’s cheaper! I like to make theme nights and movie nights extra fun. We pile pillows and blankets on the floor in the living room to watch movies. Cars is the perfect movie for a themed movie night. Have mini chocolate donut tires, fuel up on drinks, and mini car races for an activity.
Balloons are amazing! There is so much you can do with balloons. Lately I have been seeing hula hoops with balloons for a dessert table backdrop. I also have seen balloon centerpieces! I thought it looked so cute and had to make one for my daughters birthday. I actually made two because that’s just twice as fun! It was super easy to make and anyone can make a balloon centerpiece for their party. It’s also super cheap for a big effect and that’s what party do it yourself projects are all about. I added some colorful paper palm fronds that matched the colors of the party theme. You could also add some fake flowers to give it a delicate look. Lets get this party started!

Summertime just makes me want to relax by the pool and not worry about a thing. In stores I keep seeing outfits and activities for summer, which means it is time to stock up on summer essentials! I am always one of the first people to get cute colorful towels, sunglasses, and flip flops. In Phoenix we start getting ready for summer early because it feels like summer in March. My latest summer obsession is those adorable drink pool floats that look like swans and flamingos. How great is it that now you can have your Coca-Cola™ or Diet Coke® floating along with you in the pool to cool you off in the heat of summer! I thought why keep all of the summer fun to myself? This year I am spreading some summer fun with the friends I can’t wait to share the summer with by giving them a beach towel gift bag. Since summer is all about relaxing I didn’t want to make anything difficult but I wanted to think of a fun way to give a simple summer gift. I had the idea to make a beach towel into a gift basket. It was easier than I expected and works perfect for summer. With a few simple steps you will have an easy summer gift on the go and be at the pool before you know it!
Summer is the perfect time for fruit and for ice cream. Well this doesn’t include a lot of actually fruit more like ice cream that looks like fruit. Does fruit flavor ice cream count as fruit? I’d say it does! I made cute little fruit ice cream cones that look like watermelons and pineapples. Two of my favorite cute fruits! Confession I didn’t have a ton of ice cream because everyone in my family ate the ice cream before I could use it. Don’t they know prop ice cream when they see it! They didn’t turn out as full as I would like because of the lack of ice cream but you get the idea.
