Fun Treat Yourself Gift Basket

There are few things in life that I love more than chocolate. The women in my life are one of those things that I love even more than chocolate! Earlier this summer I moved across the country. I used to live just a few minutes from my parents and sister. My family has always been very close and it is hard to be apart from them. While I am enjoying the beach life in Florida and starting my own family, I do miss my loved ones! One great way to stay connected to loved ones is to send gifts. My sister is one of the most amazing women I know. She puts her family first and doesn’t do enough to treat herself. I wanted to give her a spa day experience at home. This gift was easy to put together with the 31 oz DOVE Chocolate PROMISES from Sam’s Club, a few do it yourself elements to give it a personal touch, and all wrapped together in a soft robe. I made cute printable tags for the overall gift and individual items in it. I also will show how easy it is to use the chocolate canister from DOVE Chocolate PROMISES to make a fun spa gift. However, you have to take out some of the chocolate and keep it for yourself to make a spa gift canister. It is a tough job but somebody has to do it! The variety of flavors in the DOVE Chocolate PROMISES includes Dark Chocolate, White & Dark Chocolate Swirl, and Sea Salt Caramel & Dark Chocolate. They are all so good. These two spa gift ideas are perfect for showing friends you appreciate them. My sister can have a whole fun and relaxing day with all of these goodies. Gifts as a surprise are always nice and who wouldn’t love being sent this fun gift or having it hand delivered to their doorstep. read more

DIY Mermaid Pumpkin

| Crafts, DIY, Halloween

Mermaid Pumpkin DIY

I’ve seen pretty sparkly pumpkins in recent years that look so fun for Halloween. I wish when I was a kid we had Pinterest to find blogs with super cool ideas for holidays. Luckily raising my daughter I can find fun inspiration and lots of supplies at the craft store. Oh what a time to be alive! There might be craziness in the world but the crafting has never been better. I was wanting sparkle without using glitter so I used glitter spray paint and it was so fun to use! I may have gotten a little extra sparkle on our patio, whoopsie, I hope my fiancĂ© likes the glitter porch. I’ve been on a mermaid kick since the summer and I wanted to bring it into the fall. Mermaids don’t need to stay in the summer and since we live near the ocean why not have a mermaid themed pumpkin. I love how pretty and sparkly this diy mermaid pumpkin is, I think it looked even better in person. It’s hard to capture in pictures just how sparkly it looks. read more

DIY Trolls Easy Costume

I absolutely love the Trolls movie! It’s adorable and my daughter loves it. I made her this cute little trolls costume to wear for fun but it would be perfect for Halloween. I made this easy no sew tulle skirt and organza ribbon headband. One year I ordered my daughter a costume on Etsy, it was adorable but I realized the tulle skirt is something so easy to just make myself for the next time. Just put the skirt over a solid blue dress or blue shirt and pink or blue shorts. This diy trolls costume is so easy really anyone can make it. If I can make it anyone can. read more

DIY Rainbow Poop Emoji Costume

| DIY, Halloween

My daughter has been obsessed with the poop emoji since she discovered it! She is only 6 but she loves texting family with emojis on my phone. She has an emoji backpack and loves all the emojis. She loves the rainbow poop emoji even more than the poop emoji. I thought it would make a cute costume. I don’t know how to sew so I am not making any fancy costumes for her. I also don’t want to put a ton of effort into something she will wear a couple times. This costume is prefect for an emoji lover and incredibly easy to put together. read more

Easy Ocean Rocks

| Crafts, DIY

Sometimes you can get to the beach and other times you need the beach to come to you! I made these easy ocean rocks to bring a little calm into my life and have some fun painting. I love how they turned out. We also live about ten minutes from the beach and I thought spreading them around by the beach would be fun! I couldn’t find big rocks when I first looked so I decided to practice on some smaller ones. With larger rocks you can paint sayings on them as well. Spread them by the beach or around town with some kindness messages. I love the trend to spread kindness and kind messages to strangers. These were so easy for anyone to make and the end result is super pretty! read more

Easy Galaxy Rocks

| Crafts, DIY

Lately I have seen all kinds of pretty rocks people are decorating and spreading around town for others to find. It is also a relaxing activity to paint rocks. I used to paint and draw a lot but I haven’t had as much time to paint lately. I wanted to try out the whole fun rock painting craze and it was so fun! I didn’t find the best rocks at first for painting and these were my practice ones but I love love how they turned out. The best thing about these easy galaxy rocks is they look pretty and really anyone can make them. You can add messages on top as well with white or light blue paint. The key to making the galaxy is to have a variety of colors to add depth to the look of the rocks. They don’t have to look perfect and you can really make them your own way! read more

DIY Birthday Minnie Ears

| Birthday Party, DIY

Birthday Minnie Mouse Ears

This year I got to spend my birthday at the happiest place on earth! For the occasion I made some easy DIY birthday Minnie ears to wear at the park. These were super simple and cheap to make for our trip. I made them last minute and was ready to celebrate. It was one of the best birthdays with my fiancĂ© and daughter. There are a few easy ways to personalize these ears too with different colors. You don’t need any fancy craft tools or materials to make them too. I used pinks and yellow because these are colors I like but black ears with bright colors would also look adorable. I wanted to find a way to put a birthday hat on Minnie ears and it can really be done with any Minnie ears but I also wanted some paper confetti! If you are celebrating your birthday you have to have birthday Minnie ears! read more

Unicorn Balloons

| Balloons, DIY

Doesn’t everyone want to be a unicorn or have a unicorn? Well now you can have one just in balloon form. It is easy to make your own unicorn balloons. They won’t float but you can hang them all over to decorate a party! You could also use them for centerpieces just put them on top of vase.

What you need:

balloons in white, pink or rainbow colors

black sharpie

metallic or bright colorful rainbow tissue paper

  • Blow up balloons.
  • Draw on face as shown above with a black sharpie, I used blue because I couldn’t find black at the moment but black would show up better.
  • Take a party hat cut it in half. Glue the edges of the half together.
  • Punch a hole through the top about an inch down and add ribbon to hang.
  • On the bottom add strips of the metallic tissue paper or colorful tissue paper. You can tape them to the inside or punch a hole and tie them on. When you put the horn on the balloon put the hair slightly to the side of the face.
  • Add tape to the inside of the balloon sticky side facing out spread out around the horn. Attach it to the top of the balloon making sure the tape is sticking to the balloon.
  • Hang balloons from the top of the horns.

    DIY Unicorn Wine Gift

    | DIY, Unicorn Party

    Unicorn Wine Bottle

I am putting together some of my favorite things in this post. Wine and unicorns! These unicorn wine bottles are fun to make for friends or girls nights. You can decorate them and bring them to a friend. You can also decorate them for a girls night. Drink some wine and make a unicorn. Sometimes it gets boring just giving a bottle of wine as a gift. You have to dress it up and what better way to do that then to make them a unicorn. Plus, they are super easy to make with just paint, a party hat, and tissue paper. I am thinking of making wine bottle labels for the face to make it even easier! read more
