Cactus Garden Cupcakes

I love the succulent and cactus trend right now for parties. Living in the desert it makes it an easy trend to follow! These cactus garden cupcakes are simple to make and adorable for parties. A cactus is really the only kind of plant I can keep alive so I am fond of them. Putting a couple of these simple toppers on each cupcake turns it into a little succulent or cactus garden. You can also use the toppers for other party foods like appetizers and cheese.

Game Day Desserts

Game Day Desserts for Super Bowl Sunday or a football party

With the Super Bowl right around the corner and the Playoffs going on I have been whipping up some game day desserts. This week I have a lot of game day fun to share with you all. I am extra excited this year for the playoffs and possible the Super Bowl since my team the Arizona Cardinals are playing in the NFC Championship. Being a Cardinals fan is not always easy but they have been on fire this season! Ok, I have to admit I am not a crazy fan that follows everything but I am an Arizona native so I am for the Arizona teams all the way. Whether your team is in the Super Bowl or not it is always a good time. I leave the grilling and most of the food up to everyone else. Although, I can make a really good cheese dip. I am all about the game day desserts and I’ve come up with some fun ones! read more

Cute Winter Party Desserts

| Christmas, Cupcakes, marshmallow pops, Winter

Cute Winter Party Desserts

I am still loving marshmallow pops for parties and these cute winter party desserts and marshmallow pops are perfect for this time of year! I’ve seen a lot of the melted snowman cookies but if you are short on time marshmallows are a yummy, easy alternative to cookies. You melt some chocolate melts dip marshmallows, add a few decorations and viola you are ready for a party! I made the snowmen and penguins for the marshmallow pops. I’ve done the penguins before as cake pops. These penguins are adorable! You can do black and white to make them more penguiny ;). I had extra blue candy melts so I am continuing with my blue penguins(I made blue penguin donuts that were super adorable). I also made easy white reindeer cupcakes. I know reindeer aren’t white but they look really cute and modern this way. It goes with the snowy look. read more

Thanksgiving cupcakes that look like savory Thanksgiving food but taste like sweet treats

Thanksgiving cupcakes are not the typical Thanksgiving food but it is nice to have something besides pie.I think every holiday is a cupcake occasion. I do love pie but I like to have a variety of desserts, in one sitting. I have a thing for sweets that look like savory foods. If you haven’t seen my hot dog cupcakes check those out too:  http://valeventgal.com/2015/06/hot-dog-cupcakes/ Everyone will love these cupcakes and be super impressed with how much they look like mashed potatoes, corn, and stuffing. They are easy to make and you can use store bought cupcakes to save time or use your favorite cupcake recipe. You could make one or all of these for your Thanksgiving dessert table! read more
