I love winter time and getting all bundled up. In Phoenix it doesn’t get cold to the point where you can’t leave the house but you definitely need to be bundled up. I also love winter hats! I’ve seen the adorable animal hats that people crochet or sew. Crocheting and sewing are way above my crafty skill level. One day when I have some extra time maybe I will learn how to crochet. For now I will stick to the easier way. I found some solid color hats from the dollar section at target. They were a couple dollars. Then you add a felt owl and it is an adorable owl hat. I made this one for me but you can also make them for kids. For my daughter I will add in some bright colors to match her rainbow colored wardrobe. I made this peek a who owl hat(get it, peek a boo peak a who) in minutes.

My daughter loves little tiny toys. Luckily they are cheap and she gets a lot of use out of them. The only problem is over time we have accumulated a ton of them. I wanted to find another use for them. With my love of snow globes at the moment I thought it would be cute to turn them into glitter toy snow globes. You can add snow in too with the glitter, just snow or just glitter. We have a ton of my little pony toys. We also have an excessive amount of Star Wars toys. You can use any little toys. This is how I like my spiders! With glitter and you know, not real. I don’t have a fear of spiders but I would definitely jump a bit if I saw one. Halloween is the time of spider and all things creepy but I like to make my creepy things look more pretty than creepy. These diy glitter spider rings were really easy to make and transform basic spider rings into something shiny and pretty. These are good for kids and adult parties. You can also use them as table decorations or wine charms.

It doesn’t exactly feel like fall yet but I am ready for fall. That is why I need to start the fall crafts to at least pretend like fall is approaching. I live in Phoenix and we don’t really have a fall but I love all the fall pumpkin decorations. This diy pumpkin serving tray is made with dollar store materials and so easy to put together. It is perfect for serving food at a fall party or for Thanksgiving! You can also put fall scented candles on top or other fall decorations. It’s versatile and I just love how it turned out. The only thing I didn’t get at the dollar store is the paint. I used some copper paint I already had. Craft stores, Amazon, Target or Walmart have a variety of cheap shimmery paints. I love how the copper worked out because it blended well with the orange and I didn’t have to add too much paint.
I’ve been in to the ghost ideas this week for Halloween. These Halloween ghost crafts and desserts from around the web all look so fun to make! What is Halloween without ghosts?! My favorite Halloween costume to date was when my daughter dressed as a ghost and I dressed as a ghost buster. I had to by a mans costume because the female ones weren’t exactly trick or treat friendly. She was so adorable in her ghost costume I found on etsy. These ghosts ideas from around the web have something for adults and kids.
I love rock star parties and these rock star party ideas are so fun for any little rock star! My daughter says she wants to be a rock star when she grows up. I just hope she didn’t inherit my terrible music skills. For a rock star party there are so many things you can do from cute dessert tables, fun activities and decorations. You can use a ton of different color combinations and style of decorations. These are some of the rock star party ideas from around the web.
Summer has ended but before it does we had some serious dance parties! My daughter loves music and says she wants to be a rock star. That is why we needed to make a microphone craft. We made some sparkly pretend microphones to bring out our inner rock stars. These were really easy to make and I got to use some of the toilet paper rolls I have been hoarding. You never know when you will need to make a toilet paper roll craft in a pinch. My daughter keeps making the paper towel rolls in to light sabers. I think we have about 10 of them by now.
