I am still loving marshmallow pops for parties and these cute winter party desserts and marshmallow pops are perfect for this time of year! I’ve seen a lot of the melted snowman cookies but if you are short on time marshmallows are a yummy, easy alternative to cookies. You melt some chocolate melts dip marshmallows, add a few decorations and viola you are ready for a party! I made the snowmen and penguins for the marshmallow pops. I’ve done the penguins before as cake pops. These penguins are adorable! You can do black and white to make them more penguiny ;). I had extra blue candy melts so I am continuing with my blue penguins(I made blue penguin donuts that were super adorable). I also made easy white reindeer cupcakes. I know reindeer aren’t white but they look really cute and modern this way. It goes with the snowy look.

I’m definitely a fan of the ugly sweater craze and these ugly sweater koozies are perfect for an ugly sweater party. A lot of them I don’t even think are ugly just very festive and fun. About 5 years ago I could not find ugly sweaters anywhere for a party and had to make my own. I can’t sew at all so I think I glued some Christmas patches on a plain red sweater, gluing I can do. Now ugly sweaters are everywhere and a ton of people are having ugly sweater parties! I love that because adults need to dress silly and have fun more often. I made these little ugly sweater koozies with felt. Okay they are more just decorative sweaters but if you add some pants or felt around the bottom of the bottle they are koozies. Sometimes beer gets cold and needs a little sweater. You can also use the same template to make an ugly sweater garland using felt or Christmas color card stock paper!
Welcome to the 3rd week of the Blogmas link party extravaganza and giveaway!
Hello everyone! I can’t believe we are already on week three of the Blogmas party! Time flies when you are having holiday fun! I got so many great gift ideas from all of the gift posts last week. See all of the great features below and you can go back to the gift post if you missed out. This week is all about recipes and I have to say I think this is going to be my favorite week! I just love baking this time of year and all of the yummy food, so worth it! I have a Christmas party coming up and I need the inspiration so I am super excited to see what you all are going to share.
Aren’t these donut reindeer so cute? They are a really fun breakfast for Christmas morning or dessert for holiday parties. Really easy to make. I made homemade donuts but you can also use store bought. I had to make something that looked like a reindeer because I have been seeing so many cute reindeer foods. Since I have been on a donut kick lately for me donuts was an obvious choice. I used to only have eyes for cupcakes but donuts have completely changed that. Okay, maybe I just have a major sweet too ;).
I have been wanting to make a wreath for a while and I am really excited about this honeycomb wreath! I am just blown away by some of the wreaths I have seen from fellow bloggers. Some are super fancy and intricate. I love what I have been seeing and I had planned on really making something fancy. Then life happened and I didn’t have the time to dedicate to the fancy wreath in my mind. Don’t you just wish you could think something up and then it could magically appear? Someone needs to invent a machine that does that. Sounds simple enough ;). Anyways I didn’t have the time but still wanted to make my own wreath. I was browsing in the party section at Target as I tend to do because they have amazing things! Oh Target, what would I do without you. I came across this pink honeycomb and thought it would be cool for a wreath. I know pink doesn’t scream Christmas for some people but I also wanted to make something that I might be able to get away with keeping up past Christmas. Pink really is a year round thing! Since we are doing more of a modern Christmas with gold, pink, black and some bright colors this definitely fits in. You can use other colors as well red, green, blue, magenta or whatever tickles your fancy. Now lets get to business and make this honeycomb wreath!
Welcome to the 2nd week of the Blogmas link party extravaganza and giveaway!
Hello all! It is week two of the Merry Blogmas party! am so excited to be co-hosting this link party with so many talented bloggers. If this is your first time here for the party each week we have a new theme related to the holidays. Last week we had a ton of great Christmas decor ideas. There are so many ideas I want to use! You are welcome to continue to add your decor ideas to the decor linkup up until Christmas. I finally have most of my decorations done but I’m still adding a few things.
I’m really in to doing nontraditional Christmas decorations. After years and years of red and green you get a little sick of it. As a kid we had a ton of ornaments that we collected over the years we would put them all on the tree. It was fun to have all of the sentimental ornaments but they were all very fragile. Now I want to avoid all of the fragile ornaments besides a few. Especially since my daughter wants to help with everything. I tend to gravitate towards bright colors and sparkly things. That is why I wanted to make some fun decorations with black, pink and gold. I made some pretty bows with gold glitter and pink ribbon. I also made some paper tassels out of pretty napkins because I just love paper tassels! You can individually hang them on branches or string them on ribbon and put them on the tree. Since we live in an apartment I am decorating mini trees. You can do the same decorations on a bigger tree for a larger space.
These DIY Christmas tree gift bags are a cute way to give out little gifts. You can use them for candy, small gifts or gift cards. All you need is glitter card stock paper to make it! I love giving out little gifts to people around the holidays. It can be tricky to figure out who to give gifts to and who not to. You don’t want to leave anyone out or not give a gift to someone who gives you one. I like to carry around some gift bags to make sure I have them in case I need a last minute little gift. We are finally in Christmas mode and I just love this time of year. My daughter gets even more into than I do with all of the decorations. I don’t know another 4 year old that love decorations as much as she does. Luckily she also likes the little crafty projects like I do too.
I have a lot of holiday parties coming up so I am in decorating, cookie and dessert land. I thought it would be cute if there were cookies hanging from the tree that people could have at a party or to take home after. They are decorations and food all in one! I haven’t mastered the art of cookie making yet. I am determined to learn how to make cute cookies but for now I am a complete beginner. Despite my lack of decorating skills if you put it in an ornament viola they are adorable! The power of presentation. You can wrap them up in cellophane bags too and hand them out to friends for their own little ornament cookie.
