Snow Globe Cups

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and this time of year is also the time for holiday cocktails! It’s fun to make specialty cocktails but typically I am more of just a wine gal. I found a fun way to dress up any type of holiday drink. These are cranberry drinks but you can put any types of drinks in these adorable snow globe cups! I did a wine glass one and a shot glass type cup. Let me tell you I love them so much I will be using that wine glass all year round. That’s not much a stretch for me because I use my Elf coffee cup year round too. It’s just more fun to drink out of festive cups. Christmas party season is starting and man am I excited! I love a good Christmas party and lots of Christmas party food. I don’t typically cook the food but I can help make it look all cute to serve. For fall I made these fun Pumpkin Serving Trays that were a hit. I thought it would be fun to make serving trays for Christmas parties too. I have been loving all of the snow globe ideas this season. I probably spent an hour on Pinterest looking at ideas. Although spending an hour on Pinterest is a typical day for me. This DIY Snow Globe Serving Tray can be made mostly with dollar store materials and a few from the craft store. I also had left over snow and trees to decorate my place. You can use these trays for home decorations as well, they’d be cute with a snow village on top! I may have made a wee bit of a mess with the snow but that just adds to the snowy look, right?! read more

Ho ho ho Merry Christmas! Santa is coming soon and let me tell you we are excited in my house. My daughter loves Santa and this time of year. She wants to visit Santa every day and look at Christmas lights every night. We can’t see Santa every day but I have lots of holiday goodness planned this month. I think I get almost as excited as her. Especially when it comes to making Christmas treats I love coming up with fun ideas. We made these Santa cupcakes and some penguin cupcakes. Two of my daughters favorite things Santa and Penguins. I really love these Santa cupcakes and how easy they were to make. I did the beards but the rest my 5 year old could help out with. read more

Christmas is a hectic time with celebrations and wrapping presents. That doesn’t mean you can’t still have a cute and easy Christmas table setting for Christmas parties or Christmas day. If you are wrapping presents anyways might as well wrap the whole table too to make a pretty and easy Christmas table. This is fun for gift wrapping parties, cookie parties and parties with kids. This Christmas table setting was really easy to make and looks super cute. I added a bunch of bows in the middle for a table runner but you could add one bow in the middle and ribbon. This is a good use too of extra wrapping paper. read more

Christmas Wine Gifts

For the kids I have candy canes and for the adults I have dressed up wine bottles! These are fun for parties or to hand out to friends for gifts. You can’t go wrong with the gift of wine. I decorated little bottles but you can do the same thing for larger bottles of wine. Santa’s helpers might need a little wine around the holidays. Candy Cane Snowmen

I always want to hand out little gifts for the holidays. I’m not usually a candy cane person but you have to have a candy cane around Christmas! I found these Starburst candy canes and had to try them out. They are tasty and they look really cute as snowmen! Candy cane snowmen are even cuter than the candy cane reindeer. They are fun to hand out to friends or in kids classes. Dress them up with a little scarf or ear muffs! Some I made with faces, others without, either way I think they look adorable. read more

It is about that time to start decorating the Christmas tree. Officially in two days it is acceptable to get into the Christmas spirit, blast Christmas music and bring out all of the decorations. Easy Mini Winter Treats

I love winter time when it snows and the trees are covered with snow. It is the best and of course building snowmen! Last year we went up north to Flagstaff to the snow, I live in Phoenix and we have to drive a little bit to get to the snow. When we were there it snowed like crazy. My daughter absolutely loved the snow! We tried to build snowmen but we could not get the snow to roll into a big ball. I don’t know if my snowman building skills are rusty or if the snow was just too fresh. To celebrate winter coming I made some easy mini winter treats. Sort of a mini snow village with mini snowmen and winter trees. These winter treats turned out adorable. They were also incredibly tasty, Reese’s are my favorite. No baking involved here and really fun to make with kids. read more
