Easy Mini Winter Treats

| Candy, Christmas, Desserts, Winter

Edible snow village

I love winter time when it snows and the trees are covered with snow. It is the best and of course building snowmen! Last year we went up north to Flagstaff to the snow, I live in Phoenix and we have to drive a little bit to get to the snow. When we were there it snowed like crazy. My daughter absolutely loved the snow! We tried to build snowmen but we could not get the snow to roll into a big ball. I don’t know if my snowman building skills are rusty or if the snow was just too fresh. To celebrate winter coming I made some easy mini winter treats. Sort of a mini snow village with mini snowmen and winter trees. These winter treats turned out adorable. They were also incredibly tasty, Reese’s are my favorite. No baking involved here and really fun to make with kids. read more

Monster Eye Halloween Hershey Kisses

| Candy, Halloween

hershey kisses for Halloween

These monster eye Halloween Hershey Kisses are the easiest Halloween dessert for parties or to pass out to trick or treaters. You can just have a bowl of Halloween Hershey Kisses for guests. Since I always have googly eyes for crafts(I use an excessive amount of googly eyes) I though they would be perfect to put on some kind of candy. The bottom of the kisses are the perfect size for a googly eye. You can put these in the bowl of candy to pass out to trick or treaters to add a little more fun to the candy. read more

Everyone has there favorite Halloween candy. I’m a chocolate gal and Kit Kats are one of my favorites. My daughter and I both go for the chocolate. The fun thing about making these easy Halloween Kit Kat Bars is they come in different colors for a variety of Halloween things. I saw these in the store with white, orange and chocolate all in the pack. I knew they would be perfect for making cute Halloween creatures! read more

Pink Pool Float S’mores

| Candy, Desserts

Pink Pool Float S'mores are a fun dessert for summer!

If you have visited my blog you probably know that I like to make some random things. I just have weird ideas pop into my head and try to make them. That is basically my blog in a nutshell. I wanted to make some s’mores because s’mores are always a fun summer dessert but I had to make the s’mores into something cute. These pink pool float s’mores are really adorable for summer parties. These are like the old school pool floats not the new fancy ones. I like the new donut pool floats because donuts but I have a special place in my heart for the older pool floats. The ones as a kid we used to make into a ride with pretend shark attacks. I don’t know if that is a thing my sister and I just did or if everyone did that as a kid. Anyways these are really cute and easy to make for pool parties! read more

Marble Chocolate Pops

| Baby Shower, Candy, Desserts

Marble Chocolate Pops are easy to make and so pretty. Use two or three colors to create a marble look. White, pink and blue are perfect colors for a gender reveal party!

Marble chocolate pops are beyond easy to make and look how pretty! I don’t always follow along with the trends but I do like the marbling trend. I thought what better thing to marble than chocolate! I tried marble nails just for fun once and it was a horrible fail. I really cannot for the life of me do nails. We all have our strengths I guess. You can make these in pop form like I did or just marble with different shapes in molds. The possibilities are endless! Choose a couple colors to go with any theme party. I thought these colors would be perfect for a gender reveal party! I would suggest white and two other colors. You can use two to three colors of chocolate to get a good mix of color. read more

Rainbow Pot of Gold Candy

| Candy, Holidays, St. Patrick's Day

Rainbow Pot Of Gold Candy

I love how many holidays there are around this time of year. However, some holidays like St. Patrick’s Day I just don’t have the time to go all out for. I at least have to do a little something. I have a few decorations like my rainbow balloons ¬†http://valeventgal.com/2016/02/diy-mini-balloon-rainbow/ and last year we had a party for a leprechaun that was adorable¬† http://valeventgal.com/2016/02/diy-mini-balloon-rainbow/. My daughter really loved that! I don’t think most people do a ton for St. Patrick’s Day since it is so close to Easter. These rainbow pot of gold candy are the perfect easy, half assed but still adorable dessert. Yes, I said it somethings you have to half ass as a mom and human. I’m a half ass Martha Stewart, I love yummy, crafty, cute stuff but things are not going to be perfect and I usually look like a mess while making things. For this you don’t have to bake anything, you just put a couple candies together with frosting and sprinkles. There you go you have a festive treat! I’m serious when I say these are easy to make. You can have them for a party or just for fun. Plus they are tiny so if you are trying to trap some leprechauns they would definitely be enticed by this rainbow pot of gold candy ;). read more

Candy Love Bugs are an adorable Valentines dessert you can make

These candy love bugs are cute and easy to make. I made them with my little love bug :). My obsession with candy eyes continues because they just make everything cute! I made lady bugs candies for my daughter’s first birthday a while back. She is 4 now so wow more than 3 years ago! Now she is a big helper making candy with me. Ok she’s a helper for a minute then she gets bored and I finish up. Luckily these love bugs are easy to make and no baking involved.

What you need to make them: read more

Candy Lightsabers

| Candy, Crafts, Desserts, Star Wars

Candy Lightsabers are the perfect easy dessert for a Star Wars party! #starwars

The force is strong with these candy lightsabers! After Christmas my place is Star Wars everything. My daughter is the biggest Star Wars fan, Darth Vader in particular. All she wanted for Christmas was a Darth Vader costume and a red lightsaber. She is all about the dark side of the force. I should maybe be concerned that she already at 4 has a thing for the bad guys. If we are watching a movie she always wants the parts with the bad guys. My adorable little weirdo! That is why I needed to make some kind of Star Wars dessert and these candy lightsabers were really easy to make. read more
