Back to school is a fun time for kids and parents. I think by the end of summer everyone is ready for back to school! What better way to celebrate than with some chocolate. Kids can practice writing letters on chocolates or these are fun to send in school lunches for the first week of school. Nothing complicated to make since there are enough things to do to get ready for school. My daughter is starting first grade and the school supply list is growing! My daughter is excited for this year because it is real grown up kid learning. These chocolate bars are kind of like little chalk boards to write letters. If kids are making them they can write the letters on with a paint brush or with chocolate bottles. It could get messy but it’s also really fun! Plus, every occasion needs chocolate, that is just a fact. Momma needs some chocolate during back to school time that is for sure! Make these back to school chocolate bars for a fun back to school activity with kids!

I love flamingos! They are so fun for summer. Since the invention of flamingo pool floats and flamingo drink floats they have become a summer staple. I could not be happier about that. They are just so pretty for celebrations! I love all things pink so bring on the pink flamingos! I made these adorable flamingo chocolate pops that were really easy to make. All you need are candy melts and some gold or pink pipe cleaners for the legs. I am working on my video skills so I did a video for how to make these but I can also walk you through the steps.
Confession, I used to not like Peeps. I’ve always thought they were an adorable candy but they are super sweet. I have found that they are best when you add them to something. Add a bit of chocolate and graham crackers and they are so tasty! I love Peeps in a s’more. These also have the added fun of the colorful chocolate bark wit some sprinkles. It is a colorful candy dream. The more color the better for spring and Easter! I made these with cute little printable s’more tags that look like peeps. They say “More S’mores For My Peeps” and “I Like You S’more Than Most Peeps”. Cute and silly tags to match the cute peeps. These are fun for kids and adults alike. Adults maybe even more than kids, I will have to hand some out to my girlfriends. I used blue Peeps, I was going to pick the purple my favorite color but the purple ones faces weren’t as cute, they were a little lopsided. It happens! I do have a pet peeve with Peeps. They have all of these fun colors but I don’t want to pick one I want a mix of them all. I’m too indecisive to pick one color. So Peeps peeps please put all the colors in one package!
With spring right around the corner a lot of people will be doing some spring entertaining. Also right around the corner is the new Beauty and The Beast movie. We are so excited for the movie. It is one of my favorites from childhood and my daughter also loves it. She loves dressing up in her Belle dress and playing princess. I made these easy flower lollipops inspired by the movie and spring! They can be made with differently color flowers for different themes. These rose lollipops look so pretty, kids and adults would love them!
Whenever I am at the store around Valentine’s Day I see these little chocolate boxes with cheesy pictures on them. I typically just pass them by because the pictures of flowers or puppies don’t call to me. This year I decided those boxes could look really cute with a little extra love. They just needed a makeover to turn into the perfect gifts. It doesn’t take much to make these decorated dollar store chocolate box gifts. All I did was add some paint in a few fun colors and look how pretty they turned out! The paint completely transformed the boxes into modern fun gifts. These would be great gifts for Galentine’s Day, to hand out to friends, or family. I always have a hard time thinking of little gifts to give that also have a bit of a personal touch to them. Also, I sometimes just need an excuse to paint something. It had been way too long since I had taken out my paint brushes. I wouldn’t say I am the best painter ever but since I am not a professional I know anyone could make these pretty boxes.
I like everything to be bright and colorful, including my food! It doesn’t take much to make boring brown chocolates look bright and cheery. This Valentine’s Day I am giving my daughter little treats spread out throughout the month. Nothing expensive just little gifts to show her I care. She will be getting stickers, a little puzzle, figurines, and of course her favorite is the chocolates. Honestly, it’s my favorite part of Valentine’s Day too! The best part of giving her this box of chocolates was when she opened it up and was completely shocked by the fun colors. I made these with a dollar store chocolate box. Buy a bunch of little chocolate boxes to hand out to friends or family, the more the merrier! Anyone could make colorful chocolates with these easy steps, trust me if I can do it you can too. I made them for my daughter in her favorite colors pink and turquoise. However, you could use any colors you want such as red and white for Valentine’s Day. You can also buy a bag of heart shaped chocolates and then put the finished colorful chocolates in little clear bags.
I always want to hand out little gifts for the holidays. I’m not usually a candy cane person but you have to have a candy cane around Christmas! I found these Starburst candy canes and had to try them out. They are tasty and they look really cute as snowmen! Candy cane snowmen are even cuter than the candy cane reindeer. They are fun to hand out to friends or in kids classes. Dress them up with a little scarf or ear muffs! Some I made with faces, others without, either way I think they look adorable.
I love winter time when it snows and the trees are covered with snow. It is the best and of course building snowmen! Last year we went up north to Flagstaff to the snow, I live in Phoenix and we have to drive a little bit to get to the snow. When we were there it snowed like crazy. My daughter absolutely loved the snow! We tried to build snowmen but we could not get the snow to roll into a big ball. I don’t know if my snowman building skills are rusty or if the snow was just too fresh. To celebrate winter coming I made some easy mini winter treats. Sort of a mini snow village with mini snowmen and winter trees. These winter treats turned out adorable. They were also incredibly tasty, Reese’s are my favorite. No baking involved here and really fun to make with kids.
These monster eye Halloween Hershey Kisses are the easiest Halloween dessert for parties or to pass out to trick or treaters. You can just have a bowl of Halloween Hershey Kisses for guests. Since I always have googly eyes for crafts(I use an excessive amount of googly eyes) I though they would be perfect to put on some kind of candy. The bottom of the kisses are the perfect size for a googly eye. You can put these in the bowl of candy to pass out to trick or treaters to add a little more fun to the candy.
Everyone has there favorite Halloween candy. I’m a chocolate gal and Kit Kats are one of my favorites. My daughter and I both go for the chocolate. I may have to secretly hoard some of the Kit Kats and chocolate goodies. If you can’t steal candy from your children then who can you steal candy from?! The fun thing about making these easy Halloween Kit Kat Bars is they come in different colors for a variety of Halloween things. I saw these in the store with white, orange and chocolate all in the pack. I knew they would be perfect for making cute Halloween creatures!
