DIY Monster Lights

I’m getting in to the Halloween spirit now that it is finally October. Although, it still feels like summer here it’s time for Halloween crafts, spooky fun, and of course Halloween candy! This week is all about monsters. I’m going more for the cute and cuddly kind of monsters not scary monsters. Honestly I don’t know how to make scary crafts I only do the bright color cute stuff. I also have always loved making things with googley eyes! Who doesn’t love silly fun googley eyes? This project is super simple with just googley eyes and the electric votive lights. You can glue the eyes all over, just around the top or bottom, or just two eyes looking at you. They might stare at you a little but they are cute as can be. I used colorful googley eyes to give it some extra fun. You can put them on a plate with a bunch of extra googley eyes surrounding the lights for decorations. What you need to make googley eye Halloween lights: Electric tea light/votives Googley eyes, a variety pack of colors and sizes Hot glue, if you are making them with kids use a different kind of glue 1. Starting around the top edge glue eyes on one by one. 2. Continue to glue them around to the bottom. You can cover the entire lights or just some like I did. 2. That’s all there is to it! Wait for night and turn them on! I mostly just got daytime pictures because it was harder to see the nighttime pictures but trust me they look really cute when the lights are on at night. You can see some of the colors of the eyes but the colors show off best in the day. They are cute glowing and staring at you with all of their eyes! You can make a bunch and line them all up in a row on a table or spread them out throughout a room. They are just too too cute! DIY Monster Lights

Monster Party Hats

Let’s do the mash, do the monster mash. I’m ready to party like a monster with some cute party hats. I love love these monster party hats. There are a few ways to make them with more added embellishments or super simple and suuuper easy. I like to show both ways so you busy mommas can save time when needed. My crafty party desires always exceed my amount of time to make things. I do have to say the blue monsters with the added fringe are my favorite. It could be that blues my favorite of the colors. I have blue, green, and orange monsters. These are just from a cheap pack of colorful party hats in a variety of colors. I’ve been holding on to these hats for a while and I finally found a way to use them. Love these for Halloween kids parties or a monster themed birthday party for your little monster. read more

DIY Llama Pumpkin

A cute pumpkin to make with my DIY Cactus Pumpkin is this little DIY Llama Pumpkin! Llamas have been popping up all over the place. Llama decor and parties are the latest trend and let me tell you they are the cutest trend ever! I want llamas, the real ones but also some cute decorations. I don’t think my hubby would go for the llama decor in the house. For now I will stick to the cute little llama crafts. This is a fun pumpkin to make with kids but I’m not going to lie I was more into it than my daughter. She’s more of a penguin gal. However, we do love to feed the llamas at the zoo. This llama pumpkin is really simple to make. It took me less than half an hour. It is also real cheap to make I got materials from the dollar tree! For the face you can draw it like mine or look up llama pictures for inspiration. I added a flower crown but you can do it without the flowers as well. read more

DIY Cactus Pumpkin

I grew up in the desert where we have more cacti than pumpkins. I love how cactus have become trendy! They look so cute in craft form. Also as far as plants go it’s the only kind I can keep alive. We had about 10 indoor plants. Only 2 of them have survived my black thumb and one of them is a cactus. I made this cactus pumpkin from a dollar store foam pumpkin. It was incredibly easy to make and look how cute! You can also draw a little face on it. Plus nothing in this project is living so no chance of killing it. The best thing about this diy pumpkin craft is how incredibly simple it is to make. Seriously, anyone can make it and make it for a simple pumpkin craft. read more

DIY Fall Unicorn Pumpkin

pumpkin unicorn diy

It’s fall y’all! Ok it’s still hot here, but I’m ready for some fall decorations and crafts. I’ve seen adorable unicorn pumpkins for Halloween and I wanted to put a little fall spin on them. This cute fall unicorn pumpkin turned out even cuter than I had expected! I think I might need to make a unicorn for all seasons. Winter or Christmas unicorn is coming next. Thinking off the top of my head I’m thinking some kind of snow globe unicorn. Maybe a snowman unicorn. You can really incorporate unicorns into all occasions! Anyways back to the cute fall unicorn pumpkin. All of the materials are from the dollar tree. I have been having fun in that place for fall crafts. There small foam pumpkins have worked out perfect for decorating. I have two more cute pumpkin decorating ideas coming up, stay tuned! Hint one of them involves the desert and the other some kind of animal. All of my pumpkin crafts can be made with kids or just for fun adult crafts. If you are a mature unicorn kind of adult. Adulting so hard! read more

Popsicle Stick Leaf Doll

This craft is just the cutest fall craft for kids. My daughter actually wanted to make these and sometimes she is hard to please with crafts. She used to be really in to crafts but lately it’s hard to find crafts that compete with Roblox. Sometimes I have to get her to put down the electronics and make some old fashioned crafts! She had fun making these popsicle stick leaf dolls. Crafting is fun with a little partner. She doesn’t always love my original ideas, she has to change something to make it her own. I love her creativity, she is sooo my child. These dolls are really simple to make and your kid can put their own spin on it like my daughter did. Hers had its tongue sticking out and it’s hair down how she usually wears her hair. They both had the cute leaf skirts. You can paint on the top or draw it. You could also make a leaf top! Since crafts are just for fun let kids use their own personality and create it the way they want. I just provide the basic craft and let the kiddo let loose! read more

Butterfly Leaf Craft

leaf butterflies

I have been out of blogging for far to long and I missed my creative crafty time! I’m pregnant and my craft time has been taken over by nap time. However, I got a surge of energy and now I’m back at it with some fun fall projects. My daughter and I made some cute leaf projects with Dollar Tree faux leafs. You can also use real leaves you collect, we just don’t have those as available here. In the fall here we get more butterflies than falling leaves. We live in Florida and don’t have the full four seasons. I love the idea of fall, but I don’t know if I could handle a traditional cold winter. We only get a couple tiny falling leaves, but we do have the monarch butterflies migrating through this area in October. It’s a magical experience to be surrounded by tons of butterflies! I love butterflies. The monarchs are my favorite along with blue butterflies. The great thing about this butterfly leaf craft is they wont fly away from you. You an keep them to play with over and over again. read more
