Decorated Dollar Store Chocolate Box Gifts

| Candy, Crafts, Valentines Day

brush stroke painted chocolate boxes

Whenever I am at the store around Valentine’s Day I see these little chocolate boxes with cheesy pictures on them. I typically just pass them by because the pictures of flowers or puppies don’t call to me. This year I decided those boxes could look really cute with a little extra love. They just needed a makeover to turn into the perfect gifts. It doesn’t take much to make these decorated dollar store chocolate box gifts. All I did was add some paint in a few fun colors and look how pretty they turned out! The paint completely transformed the boxes into modern fun gifts. These would be great gifts for Galentine’s Day, to hand out to friends, or family. I always have a hard time thinking of little gifts to give that also have a bit of a personal touch to them. Also, I sometimes just need an excuse to paint something. It had been way too long since I had taken out my paint brushes. I wouldn’t say I am the best painter ever but since I am not a professional I know anyone could make these pretty boxes. read more

Printable Valentine’s Day Gift Boxes

| Printables, Valentines Day

Valentine's Boxes Printables

Guess what? You’re like really pretty! I made these fun little printable Valentine’s Day gift boxes for friends and the person you are in a relationship with. I have ones for your gal friends and I also made up some funny ones to give to your love. The Galentine’s ones are the ones in the pictures with “You’re Like Really Pretty” “XOXO” and “Besides Chocolate You’re My Fav”. The one for your love are “You’re Really Hot” “So Hot Want To Touch The Hiney” and “Roses Are Red Blah Blah Chocolate”. What can I say, I am kind of a romantic! Okay, I’m a little weird with the mushy lovey dovey stuff. I like to show my love in sarcastic joke and dessert form. These printable Valentine’s Day gift boxes can be filled with chocolates or even other tiny gifts. They aren’t very big but super cute. I filled them with some easy colorful candy bark! I just used pink candy melts and colorful heart sprinkles. You can put them in a little bag and put that in the box or line it with parchment paper and put the bark right in there. It’s seriously such an easy gift to give. read more

Make Colorful Chocolates

| Candy, Valentines Day

Pretty colorful chocolates

I like everything to be bright and colorful, including my food! It doesn’t take much to make boring brown chocolates look bright and cheery. This Valentine’s Day I am giving my daughter little treats spread out throughout the month. Nothing expensive just little gifts to show her I care. She will be getting stickers, a little puzzle, figurines, and of course her favorite is the chocolates. Honestly, it’s my favorite part of Valentine’s Day too! The best part of giving her this box of chocolates was when she opened it up and was completely shocked by the fun colors. I made these with a dollar store chocolate box. Buy a bunch of little chocolate boxes to hand out to friends or family, the more the merrier! Anyone could make colorful chocolates with these easy steps, trust me if I can do it you can too. I made them for my daughter in her favorite colors pink and turquoise. However, you could use any colors you want such as red and white for Valentine’s Day. You can also buy a bag of heart shaped chocolates and then put the finished colorful chocolates in little clear bags. read more

Organize Your Crap Free Printable Labels

It’s a new year which means it is time to organize your crap! I am super unorganized and I tend to dread organizing my crap. With a new year and moving soon I need to get my crap together. My literal and figurative crap! These labels are funny to get organized and lets face it most of what we are putting away is some kind of crap. I have a lot of crafty crap that needs to be organized. Everyone has some things they hoard a bit. I’m not going to stop all my hoarding just organize it. Also, I might get rid of some things that I don’t need. Free Funny Motivational Prints

It’s a new year and that means time to redecorate the office! I am a procrastinator by nature and that is why I wanted to make some free funny motivational prints. I’m procrastinating getting organized and to work by making pretty sparkly prints. They include a little bit of coffee, procrastinating, and unicorn humor! These are really fun for the girl boss. They are the things that motivate me(who isn’t motivated by being called a beautiful unicorn?!) and I thought they might work for others. I also am one that gets distracted by puppies and shiny things. I thought it would be funny to add some of those in the mix. Recognizing you have a puppy video and getting distracted by shiny things problem is the first step to recovery. I really want to hit the ground running in the new year and get motivated. I have a ton of fun ideas planned for this site and my Etsy shop. Can’t wait to share all of the fun things I have planned. In the mean time enjoy your new year and download these free funny motivational prints!
