For every holiday I have to do something fun and goofy. Okay, usually multiple goofy projects because that is how I roll. These pool noodle cupid’s arrows are a blast! We have been throwing them around and using them for games for the last week. You can make them for a Valentine’s party game, just for fun with kids, and to hang up as a decoration at parties. I don’t know if it is just an Arizona thing but most people I know have pool noodles in the garage that are just hanging out and not being used this time of year. This is an excellent way to use them. You can also pick some up from the dollar store, Walmart or Target! One pool noodle makes two arrows. You can use them on their own to just throw around and try aim and hit someone. You can also try to get them through a hoop or a large heart like the one I made for a photo booth here: http://valeventgal.com/2015/02/valentines-day-kissing-booth/

I’ve been decorating for Valentine’s Day and I wanted to have a few decorations that I made myself. I decided to make these crepe paper flower and ruffle letters. I have wanted to make crepe paper flowers for a while and I am so glad I made them. I did the ruffle letter as well to save some time since the flowers take a while to make. Although I really enjoyed making them. I just put on some music and played around with crepe paper flowers, that is my idea of a fun night! The great thing about these is they were cheap to make and you don’t need a ton of materials.
I just love how these you have a pizza my heart cookies turned out! I am not an expert cookie maker yet, although after these I am working on my cookie decorating skills. There are just so many cute things you can make with cookies. Since I am not a cookie expert I know you can make these even if you are a cookie decorating newbie! If you know someone that loves pizza these are really cute to make for them. Also they can be my heart belongs to pizza(because really it does) for a Galentines Day party. I may be sing but I have pizza so I’m good. Plus I can eat pizza in my pjs looking like a hot mess and no one can judge me. It’s the little pleasures in life like that I enjoy. I made these cookies with sugar cookies and red and white royal icing.
Continuing withi this weeks sports theme I have some fun printables for a sports party! These could work for any sports theme party. We have ref snack bags, I used mine for popcorn. You can also use them for a ref banner! Then the time out sign printable.
What you need:
white card stock paper
Cut out the jersey along the edge and leave the strip in between the two jerseys. Fold both sides towards the middle along the bottom of the jersey. Put popcorn or paper bag filled with snacks in the middle. You can tape the bag on to the shirts before filling it with snacks to make sure it stays in place. You can also just cut out the shirts and tape them to each side. The jerseys are cute for a garland as well. Just cut them out, punch two holes in each and string some ribbon through.
Football parties are so much fun! Fire up the grill, put on the game and if your like me you have to add some decorations. I wanted to make some fun decorations for the food table but I didn’t want to go out and buy anything. I made this football party backdrop and table runner with what I had around the house. You might not have everything around the house but there are only a couple things you need to make your food table into a football table. There are a few changes you can make for different sports and this is fun for kids parties as well as watching the game. You can also make a backdrop jersey in the color of your team with the number of your favorite player.
With the Super Bowl right around the corner and the Playoffs going on I have been whipping up some game day desserts. This week I have a lot of game day fun to share with you all. I am extra excited this year for the playoffs and possible the Super Bowl since my team the Arizona Cardinals are playing in the NFC Championship. Being a Cardinals fan is not always easy but they have been on fire this season! Ok, I have to admit I am not a crazy fan that follows everything but I am an Arizona native so I am for the Arizona teams all the way. Whether your team is in the Super Bowl or not it is always a good time. I leave the grilling and most of the food up to everyone else. Although, I can make a really good cheese dip. I am all about the game day desserts and I’ve come up with some fun ones!
These candy love bugs are cute and easy to make. I made them with my little love bug :). My obsession with candy eyes continues because they just make everything cute! I made lady bugs candies for my daughter’s first birthday a while back. She is 4 now so wow more than 3 years ago! Now she is a big helper making candy with me. Ok she’s a helper for a minute then she gets bored and I finish up. Luckily these love bugs are easy to make and no baking involved.
What you need to make them:
Love is in the air! Have you been shot by cupid’s arrow? I made these fun diy cupid’s arrows and shot them through some heart shaped cupcakes. You can also put them in other Valentine’s Day foods. Even health foods because apparently you can’t always have cupcakes. They are easy to make and really fun for Valentine’s Day parties.
What you need to make them:
pink or red paper straws
Cut paper straws into pieces about an inch and a half long. Stick a heart sticker facing down to the top of on of the straw pieces and one facing down on the bottom of another piece of straw. Cut the top rounded part of the heart on the bottom piece. Then cut small slits lined up down one side and down the other.
How fun are these funny Valentine lollipops!? They are really fun to make with kids and a super easy do it yourself valentine. You can also make little tags that say you are my funny Valentine or something silly! Valentines Day is coming up and I have some fun little projects that I know you will love. Valentines is fun with kids because it is all about the candy and cute things. The fun thing with these lollipops is you can get creative and make any kind of silly face using different materials. However, the googly eyes are a must! In my world googly eyes are always a must ;).

Star Wars party game time! My daughter was on break from school so we have been playing with a lot of Star Wars toys and some Star Wars games. You have to get creative to entertain a kid on break. I thought some of the games would be really fun for a party. If my daughter Keira is as obsessed with Star Wars around her birthday she will definitely have a Star Wars party. I have been coming up with some ideas for even more games which I will share with you all! Why keep them all to myself ;).
