My niece Zoe just turned 6. I can’t believe she is already 6! She is so grown up now and I just love watching her grow up. I missed a birthday party or two of hers when I was living in San Diego. Now I get to help out with all of the decorations and making her birthday extra special. She had big ideas for her birthday with a magic theme, magician(what is a magic party without a magician?!), and a bouncy castle. She wanted rabbits in hats with purple, pink, black and white colors. I love, love how the color combination turned out. Everything looked amazing and her magic birthday party was a blast. Plus, Zoe got to show off her amazing magic skills.
I drew this picture of her as a magician. I love to draw and incorporating my drawings into party decorations.
I made this fun banner with stars and magic wands. For the backdrop I used plastic table clothes as curtains, which worked perfectly.
For the centerpieces I used plastic top hats, made bunny ears peaking out and stars!
Hanging up I had a magician “handkerchief” garland, the DIY is here: http://valeventgal.com/2015/03/magic-party-diys/ I also had tissue paper tassles in purple and pink. Of course I had more stars, I got a little obsessed with the stars, and a 6 for the big 6 year old!
The desserts were a lot of fun! I made magic wands, disappearing cupcakes with magic wand toppers, magic hat marshmallow pops and a rabbit in a hat cake. Everyone loved the desserts, but don’t they always?!
There were a lot of balloons for the kids to play with! I made some fun little wands for the party. The favors had large magic wands and little star wands, something for everyone.
The beautiful birthday girl and all of her guests had so much fun!
Thanks for partying with me! -Val Event Gal
