Happy almost New Year! I have been really busy this week with my daughter on break and finishing out the year. I wanted to get this post out earlier but it is a last minute project so posting it last minute makes sense, right? If you want a little something extra for your drinks tonight these New Year’s Eve ball drop straws are perfect! You just need a couple materials and you can whip them up in seconds. Also the pretty blue wine glasses are from the dollar store just so you know. They are one of my best dollar store finds!

Welcome to the final week of the Blogmas link party extravaganza!
It is the last week of the Blogmas link party. That makes me sad but it means Christmas is right around the corner! Can you believe it? Time really flies by especially this time of year. Are you all ready for the holidays? I have loved seeing all of your fun holiday posts. Check out all of the yummy recipe features below from last weeks recipe link party. This weeks theme is lifestyle and I can’t wait to see what you are sharing! Happy Friday! Who is ready for Christmas? It is really almost time for Christmas. This “Santa” is getting a little nervous because I have a ton to get done before Christmas. I have presents to get and wrap before the big day. I have a few little things ready but I can already tell I will be up the night before Christmas wrapping away. I am just always a procrastinator! Even when I plan not to it happens. In my defense we have been busy. Last week we went up to the mountains in Arizona to play in the snow. We wanted snow and we definitely got a ton of snow. There was a big snow storm. For someone from Phoenix that is really really exciting and my daughter loved the snow. The night that we got back home I was so ready to be in my own bed and get a good nights rest.Well that didn’t happen. In the middle of the night my daughter got sick and has been sick the last few days :(. That is the worst feeling as a parent when you have a sick kid and there is nothing you can do to make it better.
I am still loving marshmallow pops for parties and these cute winter party desserts and marshmallow pops are perfect for this time of year! I’ve seen a lot of the melted snowman cookies but if you are short on time marshmallows are a yummy, easy alternative to cookies. You melt some chocolate melts dip marshmallows, add a few decorations and viola you are ready for a party! I made the snowmen and penguins for the marshmallow pops. I’ve done the penguins before as cake pops. These penguins are adorable! You can do black and white to make them more penguiny ;). I had extra blue candy melts so I am continuing with my blue penguins(I made blue penguin donuts that were super adorable). I also made easy white reindeer cupcakes. I know reindeer aren’t white but they look really cute and modern this way. It goes with the snowy look.
I’m definitely a fan of the ugly sweater craze and these ugly sweater koozies are perfect for an ugly sweater party. A lot of them I don’t even think are ugly just very festive and fun. About 5 years ago I could not find ugly sweaters anywhere for a party and had to make my own. I can’t sew at all so I think I glued some Christmas patches on a plain red sweater, gluing I can do. Now ugly sweaters are everywhere and a ton of people are having ugly sweater parties! I love that because adults need to dress silly and have fun more often. I made these little ugly sweater koozies with felt. Okay they are more just decorative sweaters but if you add some pants or felt around the bottom of the bottle they are koozies. Sometimes beer gets cold and needs a little sweater. You can also use the same template to make an ugly sweater garland using felt or Christmas color card stock paper!
Welcome to the 3rd week of the Blogmas link party extravaganza and giveaway!
Hello everyone! I can’t believe we are already on week three of the Blogmas party! Time flies when you are having holiday fun! I got so many great gift ideas from all of the gift posts last week. See all of the great features below and you can go back to the gift post if you missed out. This week is all about recipes and I have to say I think this is going to be my favorite week! I just love baking this time of year and all of the yummy food, so worth it! I have a Christmas party coming up and I need the inspiration so I am super excited to see what you all are going to share.
Aren’t these donut reindeer so cute? They are a really fun breakfast for Christmas morning or dessert for holiday parties. Really easy to make. I made homemade donuts but you can also use store bought. I had to make something that looked like a reindeer because I have been seeing so many cute reindeer foods. Since I have been on a donut kick lately for me donuts was an obvious choice. I used to only have eyes for cupcakes but donuts have completely changed that. Okay, maybe I just have a major sweet too ;).
These printable dreidel gift boxes are really easy to put together and perfect for gelt or tiny treats. I made them to fit gelt but you can put other small candy, stickers or bubbles in there. They are perfect gifts for a large group or favors at a Hanukkah party! You could also use the dreidels for a banner or table top decoration.
What you need to make them:
download the printable at the bottom of the page
white card stock paper
something fun to put inside!
Print out the printable and cut out the dreidel shapes. With the extra paper cut a strip 3 inches long and about 2 inches wide. Fold the white strip of paper into thirds. Then put tape on the inside of both sides with sticky side out. Press the dreidel with the design facing outwards against the tape. Repeat on the back with the plain dreidel.
We are now on the third night of Chanukah! Which means dreidel marshmallow pops! It is hard to get ready for Chanukah when it comes so soon after Thanksgiving. That is why we need some easy things to make to celebrate. I leave the latkes up to others to make but I am really good at eating them, not to brag ;).This year we already did some Chanukah crafts and made a Chanukah house. The Chanukah house was like a gingerbread house with yellow and blue decorations. Manichewitz makes the Chanukah house because when the house falls down mama might need a little wine. I wish there was more of a selection of Chanukah items in the stores and ideas. The section is usually about a foot wide sandwiched in between the Christmas stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas decorations but Chanukah could use a little love too! My mom is always creative and resourceful when it comes to Chanukah ideas. I get my love of holidays from her.
